In this Radio INTERVIEW,
Mr Olusegun Ayeoyenikan, Director of Information, National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure
(@NASENIHQ ) gives insight on how
Innovation delivers greater socio-economic impact when people understand and embrace it.
In many communities, some households are understandably uncomfortable allowing male technicians into their homes for technical support.
That simple reality is one of the reasons we are empowering women through the NASENI Sustainable Empowerment Programme (NSEP).
We have trained women across Kumbotso and Tarauni LGAs in Kano State in solar installation, maintenance, and repairs, equipping them to build sustainable livelihoods while expanding access to clean energy in their communities.
We believe technology creates its greatest impact when it solves real human problems.

@NASENIHQ The NASENI Innovation Assessment & Award Programme is a great initiative that can bring about significant change and progress in the country.
I didn’t always wear colorful socks.
My instinct was always to pick the plain pair.
One day, my uncle watched me do exactly that. He asked me to put them back, chose a much bolder pair instead and simply said, “That’s how people will know you have strong character.”
At the time, it felt like he was talking about socks.
Looking back, I think he was talking about something much bigger.

@KSHalilu This project is truly remarkable, from the incubation centre to the modern poultry farm, it shows a lot of potential for growth and development in the agricultural sector
I recently returned to Kano, to see the progress of this project and I’m encouraged by how far it has come.
Seeing our vision steadily come to life reinforces our commitment to building a hub that will empower young Nigerians with modern agricultural skills, drive innovation, and strengthen President @officialABAT’s food security agenda.

In a rapidly changing world driven by innovation and technology, the nations that thrive are those that empower their people with the skills to create, invent and solve problems.
Across Nigeria, millions of young minds possess enormous potential, but access to modern Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics(STEM) learning facilities remains a challenge.
At the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (@NASENIHQ ), we are changing that narrative.
Through the innovative NASENI HatchBox, a solar-powered STEM laboratory and digital innovation hub—we are bringing science, technology, engineering and innovation closer to students and communities, inspiring the next generation of inventors, engineers, and technology leaders.
This is the story of how NASENI is transforming education, nurturing innovation and turning policy into action.
