You are misunderstanding the whole thing. Let me explain it like this.

When you come to the UK, you pay £776 - £1,035 for immigration health surcharge. That’s not cheap. But you cannot go into a GP surgery simply because you have paid and you want to use what you paid for. Nobody will answer you.

It’s similar to HMO system in Nigeria. Because you have paid from your salary does not mean you have to use it.

If you have legitimate concerns, of course you can come to the hospital and seek advice. But what most people do is bring 5 children plus themselves to see the doctor and request for MP + FBC for all seven of you when it’s not needed and then try to coerce the doctor to do it.

Now the doctor has to consult and document for all 7 people who did not need to be in the hospital in the first place. Some of the kids might even pick up something they didn’t come with from the hospital.
