Why is it that when young children wet the bed, everyone finds it completely normal?
But when old people wet the bed, they are seen as a nuisance?

When a child is dirty and messy, there is always a mother there to gently comfort them:

But when an elderly person can no longer control their body, with trembling hands and weak legs, all they receive from those around them are awkward, hesitant looks — sometimes even discomfort and disgust.
If one day your parents become forgetful, repeating the same story again and again, and sometimes cannot control their own body,
Please don’t sigh…
Instead, remember:
When you were little, who was it that carried you through those long, painful nights of sickness?
Who took care of you, feeding you every bite and watching over every sleep?
Who was your support through all those years?
The elderly were once children who had mothers too…
But now, all they have left is us.
And perhaps,
to live a decent life in this world,
is to learn how to love an elderly person.
