For the first time since 2016, the Walton Raiders are back in the GHSA State Championship Game! @NolanFahrner absolutely shoved tossing 5.1IP 2H 2ERs 4Ks & the Win. @Ahren_Smith_ came in relief allowing 0 runs on 2 hits to close out the game. @Matthew22Haber stayed hot going 3/3, while @Walker_k11 smacked a bases loaded double scoring two to help pace the offense. The Raiders will face the two-time defending state champions, the Lowndes Vikings on Tuesday, May 20th @ 5:00pm at Coolray Field.

In Game 1, @josh_segal3 eluded trouble early finishing with 4IP 3H 1ER & the Win. @adler_bowen4 & @Ahren_Smith_ closed the final 3 innings allowing only 2 hits in total. @ToddHaley33 paced the offense going 2/3 with a double & 3 RBIs. In Game 2, @NolanFahrner came out on fire tossing 5IP 3H 1ER & 8Ks. @Logan_Wideman, @parker_dastou & @ToddHaley33 all came up with clutch hits, but none bigger than @LaneTaylor7738’s walk off single in the bottom of the 8th sending the Raiders home with a clean sweep.

In Game 2, @KaedenGilstrap provided us with a great start throwing up 4.2IP 4H 1ER & the Win. @NolanFahrner came in out of the pen filling up the zone & earning the SV. @DominicRos87219 , @william_crow17 & @Logan_Wideman also added a hit & RBI.
