His political activism is on another level now. The campaign style, the colours, and the slogans we see are so unique and deeply touching.

First, there was “Thaahiru Dhiriulhumakah – Anni”, the primary campaign in 2008, and “Aneh Dhivehiraaje�� for the presidential election the same year.

Then came “Ehburun” and “Kuri Kuriah, Baarah Kuriah” in 2013.

Next was “Jazeeraa Raajje” in 2018. We often wonder how successful it could have been if he had been given the chance to continue the campaign.

Later, in 2023, came “Fikuregge Dhirun”. The original dark yellow to light yellow sunset-style theme resembled and remixed the spirit of 2008. This was by far the most “Anni-style” campaign. 💛

And now, in 2026, it is the #BoduBadhalu campaign. It brings back the classic MDP style and sound, mixed with a touch of 2023 nostalgia.💛

The way he stands at the podium, the backgrounds, the songs, the supporters’ movements, and the way people participate with Anni while chanting “Anni, Anni, Anni” - that is an MDP thing, an original MDP memory. Only those who have been engaged since 2005 truly know how we grew together through all of this while advocating for the fundamental values of MDP.

Everyone who connects with this spirit is truly MDP at heart, and we share so much in common. We worked for the nation. We never wanted anything in return. We volunteered in Anni’s campaigns simply because we wanted to experience the MDP spirit and style. That is very different from those who work in ordinary political campaigns for other political hopefuls.

Last night’s gathering showed that MDP is back with its original style, and people loved it.
