Menteri Ekonomi maklumkan dalam taklimat krisis bekalan petang tadi harga arang batu naik kepada RM21.28 per MMBtu berbanding harga asas RM19.14 per MMBtu.

Arang batu mewakili 46.4% daripada generation mix untuk janakuasa elektrik di semenanjung.

Rebate di bawah Automatic Fuel Adjustment (AFA) semakin berkurang sejak Mac. Julai nanti diunjurkan adakan ada surcaj (bayar lebih).

Hanya akan terkesan kepada pengguna yang menggunakan melebihi 600 kWj iaitu 15% pengguna domestik.

Malaysia import arang batu sebahagian besar daripada Indonesia & Australia.
