Now officially licensed in Croatia as 9A5LAW. A long 6 month process of getting a call certificate, transmitting license, personal identification number, the overall license, and signatures. Now after all that work you get a piece of paper with your name on it ๐
CQ WPX CW with the 9A1TT crew using the call 9A0AA. The team mostly consisted of young ops from 6 different countries. Multi op / single tx with the classic overlay. Great time making 3,631 contacts all done via remote. More info on 9A0AA qrz page. Thanks for the contacts !
Another fun one with the 9A1TT crew during the ARRL DX SSB. Worked a small fraction of the contest as multi op / single tx. Lots of fun testing the 4-square with the new 8 direction modifications and the extended length beverage rx antenna.
Always a great time with the 9A1TT gang. We did the ARRL DX contest super casually giving a score of 1,088,472 with 1,673 contacts. Used this contest to test our multi op / single tx system for the future.
Another fun WFD. Operated from home this year as 1H LAX. Pretty slow most of Saturday but it picked up Sunday morning. Worked 40 states and 50 of the 71 sections. 100 watts and 90% CW since that seemed to be where the activity was. Claimed score of 6,048. Excited for next year !
@K3TripleR@HamRadioOutlet I drove it over there because they wanted me to pay to ship it to them. Pretty crazy considering itโs suppose to be knew. From the way it sounded from the technician, this wasnโt anything he hasnโt seen before. Common for new G5500s to be missing components. Pretty frustrating
@K3TripleR@HamRadioOutlet Got it back from Yaesu today. Technician said it was missing some parts for the Elv side and some stuff wasnโt plugged in. Pretty shocking considering it was new. Little to no quality control I guess
Worked a little of the 9A CW contest on Saturday remote to Croatia as 9A/AI6V. Finished with 376 contacts giving a claimed score of 130,918. Lots of strong signals from the US and Canada on 160m / 80m which was awesome. Small contest but still a blast !
Shooting, riding, and SOTA = a great day. The old man stayed at the car with FT8 for entertainment while I rode over to W6/SD-162, Turtle Mt, with a KX3 and a whip antenna for a successful activation.
Had a blast operating 9A1TTโs station remotely in Croatia for the CQWW CW using the call 9A/AI6V. Split time up at different parts of the weekend with 9A/DK2RO @dk2ro. Goal was 1,500 but ended up with 2,184 contacts while working 76 unique countries.
