One girl took a stand to talk about the human trafficking that is happening around our campuses. Within seconds, everyone began sharing, warning others and stepping up that it has happened to them as well. Social media will be a powerful tool for children #lesson12

I’m all for protesting, however, I do believe that it should be done with good intentions.. to make a statement and get your message across.. As long as no form of aggression is involved, by authorities or protestors.. there shouldn’t be an issue. #Lesson12#EDUC307
As did mine, my parents were extremely strict about what I watched and it definitely worked out for the better! I didn't find myself being influenced with certain things like other kids my age during that time. Monitoring should be something that is taken more seriously!
Let's not forget that Disney isn't the only franchise that makes movie that are supposed to be suited for kids! What about Pixar and DreamWorks? #Lesson11
nowadays a lot of kids watch a lot of material that is not suited for them,it is important that parents screen what their kids watch, even if they are Disney movies. Just because they seem like a suitable movie, doesn't mean they aren't negative messages behind it #lesson11
Although I do believe that Disney can be offsetting with much of their depictions, I do think that they’ve improved with gender & racial portrayals (Ex: Moana). They’ve also started to include movies where the princess doesn’t necessarily need a prince to save her from doom! #L11
