Today marks ten years since the Pulse nightclub shooting — a devastating attack that took 49 lives and shook the LGBTQ+ community to its core.
We remember those we lost. We stand with survivors. And we recommit to fighting hate and discrimination in all its forms.
Our community is resilient. Our love is powerful. And together, we will continue to build a future rooted in justice and belonging.

Thank you to every partner, advocate, speaker, and community member who showed up for The Cost of Survival Rally at the U.S. Capitol.
Together, we reminded lawmakers that HIV funding is health care funding — and that survival should never come with a price tag.
Our communities showed up because they have to. Now Congress must act.
Special thanks our partners in Seven Days in June and the Save HIV Funding Campaign for making this powerful action possible.

🚨 URGENT ACTION NEEDED! 🚨
A new rule from CMS is threatening health coverage for people living with HIV.
Instead of protecting people with serious conditions as Congress intended, this rule requires invasive medical documentation and subjective assessments just to keep coverage. It's unworkable, it's harmful, and it breaks the promise made to our communities.
People living with HIV need continuous, uninterrupted care to stay healthy and thrive. This rule puts that at risk.
Don't let this stand. Call and email your Senators, Representative, and Governor at https://t.co/fGuVvKVb3v. Demand they fix this rule now!

This Pride Month, we want to be clear: you are not defined by stigma, criminalization, or funding cuts. You are defined by your humanity. 💙
To every LGBTQ+ person living with HIV — you deserve care, dignity, and the freedom to live fully. HIV is not a crime. Your love is not a crime. And we will keep fighting to make sure the law reflects that.

🚨 The proposed House Labor-HHS bill isn't just bad policy — it's a direct attack on people living with and affected by HIV. 🚨
Cutting $794 million from HIV prevention at CDC. Slashing $225 million from Ryan White. Eliminating programs that save lives.
This comes on top of Medicaid cuts and rising health insurance costs. Our communities are already struggling — these cuts would be catastrophic.
Last year, your voices stopped these cuts. We need that same energy now.
Tell your members of Congress: Reject these unconscionable cuts and pass a bill that actually meets the needs of our communities. Head to https://t.co/bAWt8Lz1ha to take action now.

On Caribbean American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, we stand with Caribbean-American communities in the fight against HIV.
This day reminds us of the importance of health education, access to resources, and community involvement. While we've seen progress in reducing new infections and AIDS-related deaths, key populations in the Caribbean continue to face disproportionate impact — and funding uncertainties threaten the prevention services they depend on.
We must continue to advocate, educate, and support one another. Health equity for all communities is non-negotiable.

🚨 URGENT: New Medicaid rule puts coverage at risk! 🚨
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published a rule that will result in people losing Medicaid over paperwork hurdles — not eligibility.
People with serious physical or mental health conditions may qualify, but now must provide extensive medical records, forms, or provider verification to prove the severity of their condition. This creates barriers that could leave eligible people without coverage in the midst of treatment.
This isn't just bureaucracy — it's a threat to health care access for our communities.
Don't let this stand. Call and email your elected officials and urge them to demand CMS delay this rule and redraft it. Head to https://t.co/fGuVvKVb3v to take action.

Today, June 5, is HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day! First observed in 2014, this day honors people who have lived with HIV long-term and raises awareness about their needs, experiences, and stories!
HIV Long-Term Survivors are a diverse group of communities including:
📌People who were diagnosed with HIV before Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy (HAART) became available in 1996.
📌People who have been living with HIV for over 10 years.
📌People who were born with HIV or got it at a young age, also known as lifetime survivors or "Dandelions."
This observance was established in 2014 by Let's Kick ASS — AIDS Survivor Syndrome, and coincides with a significant historical milestone: the anniversary of the first official reporting of what became known as the AIDS epidemic. It is an important day in the history of HIV and AIDS movement, and even more with its present realities.
On #HLTSAD we must recommit to taking action to address the present-day and future needs, issues and challenges facing long-term survivors.

🏳️🌈 Pride is about visibility, dignity, and the right to access information that keeps our communities healthy.
As we celebrate Pride Month, we must also speak out when vital public health resources disappear. Public health information saves lives, and communities disproportionately impacted by a health issue deserve accurate, accessible, and affirming resources.
Erasing information does not erase health needs.
At AIDS United, we believe everyone deserves access to evidence-based public health information — free from stigma, censorship, or political interference. Pride has always been about fighting for visibility, and that includes ensuring LGBTQ+ communities are seen in public health data, research, prevention efforts, and care.
This Pride Month, we stand for science, health equity, and the right of every person to access the information they need to protect themselves and their communities. ❤️

"What do we owe one another? Who do we fight for? What kind of systems are we willing to build?"
HIV has always demanded more than medicine. It asks something of all of us.
Our newest Voice of Community blog 📝 , from author C.J. Tobe explores the fragility of progress, the power of community care, and why we cannot become complacent in the fight to end the HIV epidemic.
More than 45 years into this movement, one thing remains true: community is still our greatest strength.

🚨 TOMORROW is the day. 🚨
Our Seven Days in June: HEALTH IS PRIMARY rally, The Cost of Survival, kicks off tomorrow at 12:00 PM EST, and we need you standing with us.
Politicians are hoping that nobody is paying attention to the $1 trillion in cuts to healthcare that take effect later this year. They are betting that we are too distracted or too tired to fight back. Let's show them they are wrong.
Health cuts kill, and we will not let our community pay the price. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
