@LordSangar67@AvidyaRehab Open the to criticism, but you are also open to criticism for your takes, that's kind of how a conversation works. If you put something online you are expecting engagement are you not? Not a fan of discourse these days being people whining that people respond to their takes.
@aniaothj Idk bro, just read your initial post and saying gacha art isn't art is mad disrespectful. The people that work on it also work on non gacha projects. Same with the music. Is gacha music not real music now too?
@iKaito_1 There are more male players. stop acting like it's because "The male characters have less effort put into them" trust me, if that was the only issue, they'd put more effort to get more sales, but the fact that they don't and whenever they try sales are middling says everything
@trueformthukuna The bigger issue is that Ellen and Astra are side characters, Kafka and Robin are actually story significant. It's not an equal trade at all
@Ichiflora Qingxiaos story was not concise at all though, it was full of filler dialogues and flash backs that don't contribute to the overall narrative, which is also why it ended up being one of the longest patches in the game. 2.5 was nearly 3x shorter in run time.
@DailyLingyangs 3.6 one of the worst patches
1. Fly, fight, flashback, repeat. No interesting gameplay or storytelling
2. No character growth, we are watching someone continue their path, our input doesn't matter as rover
3. The savior trope was covered by rover aemeath and hiyuki
@Ichiflora Not to mention, 2.5 covered themes and story beats not covered previously in the story at very least, meanwhile 3.6 seemed like a rehash of hiyukis savior complex mixed with imperators duty to the people except in a less concise less epic more boring format
@Ichiflora By my criteria lahai roi overall is the most impactful region of Wuthering Waves. 2.5 had poor pacing, drawn out walk and read lore sequences that make it similar to 2.2 and 3.6, aka not ideal. 2.2 and 2.5 are better than 3.6 due to less yap and better gameplay segments.
@Ichiflora My criteria for a well written quest in an RPG are
1. Meaningful and concise dialogue
2. Good presentation, this is a game not a book
3. Dynamic gameplay sections (I.e. 3.1 aemeath hacking segment)
4. The core message of chapter adds on to the overarching message of game
@CaptainCabinetz@dados929 I think another factor is that lahai roi chapters just had superior pacing, gameplay segments, and presentation and music than 2.x and 3.5-3.7 imo while also keeping quest lengths digestable with not as much yap. So no it wasn't just better characters, it was better gameplay
@BunnyBheb Ye zzz is good, isn't scared of making sexy characters, lesbians, Lolis, furries, etc. might not appeal to everyone but I can respect trying to appeal to several niches
@AlterMagna@BunnyBheb Y'all so dramatic. The wuwa community doesn't care about yarn artists let's be real, I'm fact I think Genshin is the community that would appreciate them the most based on their player demographics and fanbase size
@CocoMitta I think it's online discourses in general that's too far gone, you got people participating in topics for the sake of arguing they have no information on, especially politics
@GearArts_ Tbf this isn't even an alien concept in gaming and if were considering Hugo an npc, we've controlled characters without rover around multiple times in wuwa, they just weren't NPCs
