In the present case, if need be, we can avail the services of a cadre which is higher than the LP like Traffic Inspector/Asst.Operations Managers etc to strengthen the GR but not ALP.Thus the proposal is statutorily void

Hon'ble Sir, Many Train Guards have lost their lives due to Covid-19. Exposed to virus due to most hostile working conditions. The Divisional Adm failed to clean, sanitise & disinfect the work places and Resting areas is causing concern.

Supervisory Officials refusing to grant leave or send for medical treatment to Train Guards whenever reported indisposed has led to an increase in the toll. Kindly arrange adequate compensation in addition to normal service rules (3/6)

May we solicit Your Excellency to kindly instruct the Ministry of Railways to grant a minimum Rs. One Crore special compensation to Guards in addition to normal benefits as a recognition to such Staff. Save lives of Running staff. (6/6)

Despite discharging duties day-in & day-out, leaving their families at their destiny,Train Guards have not been treated as front-line staff. Always received 3rd grade treatment by the Ministry. Inadequate medical facilities causing concern (2/6)

Guards are already carrying about 15 kgs personal luggage as they will have to be away from their base station for 72 hours.Additional Bag of Government Property weighs about another 15Kgs is burden on Guards

Duty schedules of Guards are very erratic. Guards will have to work for 12 to 20 hours at a stretch and remain away from their base station for 72 hours. After returning HQ, allowed to stay for 16 hours only

Personal Equipment supplied to Guards is essential to ensure Safety & Punctuality. All along these tools were secured in a Steel Box. Now the Ministry of Railways directed to eliminate the Box. Don't eliminate

Many B/Vans will not have Seats, Writing Table.Guards use their Line Box as seat and Table. Poor Pay Scales, Poor Working conditions and Poor response for their Concerns from administration led to frustration

In accordance with GR 4.19 & SRs, framed under Section 198 of Indian Railway Act, Personal equipment for Guards is supplied. It is a Government property & Guards used to secure it in Steel Box called Line-Box.
