Yesterday, I had the honour of joining my husband, H.E, Governor @biodunaoyebanji, to receive a few Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, led by Senator @Senator_Akpabio, at the Ekiti State Governor's Lodge, Abuja.

The speakers at the conference called for cross-sectoral collaboration among the office of the first ladies, health, education, food and agriculture sectors, as well as water and sanitation, among many others, to address the challenges related to nutrition for mothers/children.

The conference also highlighted the debate on maternal nutrition during pregnancy and nutrition in the first 2 years of life (known as the 1000-day period), emphasizing their crucial role in a child's neurodevelopment and laying the foundation for the nation's health.

Earlier today, I attended the National Women in Power Conference on Nutrition at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, with the theme "Women in Power: Harnessing our Position in Improving Nutrition Outcomes."

I want to appreciate the Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF) for organizing such a comprehensive and well-structured induction program.
