On June 13, 1777, a 19-year-old French teenager landed on a beach in South Carolina, uninvited, to fight in someone else's war. He would become one of the most important men in American history.
The Marquis de Lafayette was one of the richest young aristocrats in France. He had a beautiful wife, a fortune, and zero reason to risk any of it. But he believed in the American cause so fiercely that when the French king forbade him from going, Lafayette bought his own ship and sailed anyway. He literally went AWOL from a life of luxury to bleed for a country that didn't exist yet.
Congress was annoyed at first. Another foreign officer looking for a paycheck? Then Lafayette offered to serve for free and pay his own way. That got their attention.
He met Washington and the two formed one of the great father-son bonds in American history. Washington had no biological children. Lafayette named his only son George Washington Lafayette.
He took a bullet in the leg at Brandywine and kept rallying the retreat. He was instrumental at Yorktown, the battle that won the war. He went home a hero on two continents.
A foreign teenager believed in America before America did. 249 years ago today.

July 6, 1936, Route 66, New Mexico. This is Martha Evans, 32. She had been walking for three days. Her husband died of tuberculosis in Oklahoma in May. The farm was foreclosed. She took the six kids and a Radio Flyer wagon and started west for California. The twins in the wagon were 11 months old. The boys walking were 6, 5, 4, and 3. Her dress was torn on barbed wire. Her leg was cut and infected. She wrapped it with a feed sack. She had $1.60 in her pocket. A photographer from the Resettlement Administration saw them and pulled over. He offered her a ride. She said no. She said if she took a ride now, the kids would expect one every time they were tired. She gave him her name and kept walking. The photo ran in newspapers across the country. Donations came to a PO box in Barstow. She got $200 and a bus ticket. She made it to Bakersfield and picked grapes. All six kids lived. Three went to college. Martha died in 1978. The wagon is in the Smithsonian.
“Civilization is not inherited; it has to be learned and earned by each generation anew; if the transmission should be interrupted for one century, civilization would die, and we should be savages again.”
— Will Durant (from The Story of Civilization)
**One Simple Law That Protects American Housing**
Ban non-citizens on temporary visas from purchasing residential real estate in the United States. That is it. One rule.
Our parents and grandparents worked decades to afford a home and pass it to their children. Now temporary visa workers, often here on 3-year H-1B contracts, get approved for 30-year mortgages and flood markets. This creates artificial demand that drives up prices for everyone else while young Americans get priced out of starter homes.
Visa labor did not just take jobs. It distorted the housing market in entire suburbs. Banks treated temporary workers like permanent residents, handing out long-term debt on short-term visas. That mismatch was always going to end badly.
One clear law fixing foreign and temporary visa ownership would bring supply and demand back into balance for actual Americans.

Just when you think the police couldn’t stoop any lower. A British man is in a critical condition after thrown to the ground and hitting his head on a metal pole. You can see by the police reaction it was serious @RestoreBritain@RestoreNetwork_@elonmusk@RupertLowe10#Britain

The key to saving the environment is not looking backward, it’s moving forward.
I realized this the first time I visited Italy twenty years ago. Everything was clean and green. The rivers sparkled. The lesson for me was obvious: the answer is not underdevelopment. The answer is progress.
When China was poor, the air was so polluted that people could barely see the blue sky. Today, blue skies have returned to their cities. Development does not only create wealth, it also provides the resources needed to restore and protect the environment.
Some environmentalists want us to preserve every aspect of our biodiversity, including the mosquitoes for example, so that researchers can fly in once every ten years from their universities (which build particle accelerators and billion-dollar laboratories with their pocket money), study our ecosystems, and count how many people died from dengue outbreaks.
They want to buy our air through carbon credits. If carbon credits were such a great deal, they would be selling them to us, not the other way around.
Cleaning every river, lake, and water source in El Salvador, and ensuring they remain clean and sparkling, would cost roughly $12 billion. Where is that money supposed to come from without economic development? Carbon credits?
The path forward for our country is the path of Japan and Singapore, not the path of the Congo.
WATCH MY SPEECH that made the RINOs furious!
Awesome speaking with so many patriots at @TexasGOP convention… and thanking them for standing for LIBERTY!
I’m fighting to make government as irrelevant to our lives as possible, so we can be as free as God meant for us to be!
@IAmJohnAles No human can "solve world hunger."
America has poured trillions of dollars of food aid into Africa, and all this waste of resources has accomplished has been to turn 200 million starving Africans into 1.4 BILLION starving Africans.
"Everyone will have to use AI. Because if you don't use AI, you're gonna lose your job to somebody who does."
Totalizing social Darwinism, forcing human-AI symbiosis via economic necessity.
Twisted fever dreams spilling out of ravenous greed, futurist ambition, and powerlust.
Run for school board, city council, or county commission yourself or back someone who will.
These races are usually decided by a few hundred votes. The machine hates when competent locals actually show up and run.
So many wiki's show us how to go about it. If you are looking for signatures to get on a ballot tag the big accounts to spread the word.
Ohio leaders like Shontel Brown, Landsman, Beatty, Sykes, Kaptur, Vance, DeWine, Miller,Turner, Jordan, Ramaswamy, have gutted Americans for Israel.
Total buyout.
Israel votes and donor cash first, America last.
Same sellout at state and local levels.
Conflict of interest.
Clonakilty County Cork is a small Irish town with a population of less than 6,000 people.
As of yesterday, the Mayor of Clonakilty is a Bangladeshi man named Yousuf Janabali.
🚨Breaking: Burrows getting BOOED right now at @TexasGOP convention!
Grassroots patriots are sick of Democrat-elected “Republican” Speakers of the Texas House.
Good.
It’s illegal to bring in even one plant because it might “disrupt the ecosystem”… but importing millions from the third world is supposed to strengthen our country?
