Es bleibt ein Rätsel, wieso die Politik für die Altersvorsorge nicht einfach das überragende 401k Konzept aus den USA 1 zu 1 kopiert hat.

Der Arbeitnehmer legt ein Teil seines Gehalts an der Börse an. Der Arbeitgeber matched den Betrag. Beides geht steuerfrei vom Bruttogehalt ab. Auf Erträge fallen keine Steuern an. Voller Zinseszins-Effekt, komplett steuerfrei.

Durchschnittliches Guthaben nach Alter:

> Unter 25 Jahren: ca. $6.000 - $7.000
> 25 bis 34 Jahre: ca. $42.000 - $45.000
> 35 bis 44 Jahre: ca. $100.000 - $103.000
> 45 bis 54 Jahre: ca. $188.000
> 55 bis 64 Jahre: ca. $271.000
> Ab 65 Jahren: ca. $299.000

Das sind Durchschnittswerte inkl. Menschen, die ggf. nur kurz angestellt waren.

Als gut bezahlter Akademiker ist es in den USA nicht unüblich, dass du mit Anfang 50 mehr als eine Million Dollar in deinem 401k-Portfolio hast.
