Insightful speech from Botswana President; 👌. But perhaps a little elitist? The problem with elitist approach to Societal problems is what sometimes is referred to as PROXIMITY GAP.. far detached....and not alive to REAL PEOPLE STRUGGLES. Take this case of Boko now; he makes it sound so simple TO WALK AWAY. Like he is dealing with ABSTRACT SITUATIONS in his mind not corresponding to real local contexts- FAMILIES ISSUES; the CHILDREN who have been born out of this union, the property worked together, the time....THESE ARE REAL ISSUES, NOT ACADEMIC NICITIES.
Uganda’s lions, once roaming freely across the country’s national parks in large numbers, are now facing a critical moment.
