Canada Makes AI Literacy a Public Utility The student course is designed to cover foundational AI knowledge, responsible use, and workplace readiness rather than advanced software engineering. That distinction matters for small businesses and skilled workers. Most people do not need to train a model. They need to understand where AI is useful, where it fails, how to check its output, and how to use it without exposing customer or employer data.
On September 21, K-12 educators gain access to the first chapter of AI for All: Essentials for Educators. Five additional chapters are scheduled for release during the fall. The educator material is intended to provide practical, classroom-ready guidance on AI basics, ethics, safety, governance, and responsible use.
