Fitness February wraps up this Wednesday at 249 RCACS Beausejour with a cloaing ceremony and awards. Caders focused the month on healthy living, fitness and nutrition including cooking class, nutrition coaching, a curling bonspiel and the cadet fitness assessment.

Fitness February began with Opening Ceremonies on Wed, Feb 5. Fitness February is a month focused on fitness and healthy living with weekly activities including nutrition coaching, cooking classes, recreational sports, and daily fitness and nutrition challenges. #cadetthings

Cadets from 249 Beausejour were out at CFB Shilo this past weekend for joint activiry Ex Iron Stag. They tried their hand at marksmanship, biathlon, orienteering and even tested their fitness on the base obstacle course.

Cadets stopped in Southport, MB to fly the King Air flight sim at @kfaerospace Afterwards they travelled to @CFBShilo where they learned about the military police, got to do some Firefighting drills, visited the artillery museum, and so many more adventures.

Today Mr. Vern Toews, Chair of the @AirCadetLeague in Manitoba, presented 14 long service medals to cadets in our sqn.
This was a record breaker for long service medals for our sqn of 55 cadets!
Looks like our cadets are sticking around, more adventures await!

A @RCAF_ARC 435 Squadron #Herc aided by @rcmpmb and Canadian Rangers searched for and found an overdue aircraft on Pickerel Lake MB. The aircraft was damaged but the pilot was safe. 2 #SAR Techs jumped in with survival gear and eventually all three flew out by helicopter #RESCUE

Along with some sea cadets, some of our 249 cadets got to pose with Major General Cochrane and Brigadier General Cochrane @ComdCJCR at the Manitoba Moose military appreciation night! What a great time!
