.@TRA_Conference 2022 runs in Lisbon: Today #CML researcher Jonathan Weisheit presented @AIRCOATProject at the Invited Session “On the Way to Zero-Emission Shipping” focusing on critical issues that currently limit the application in large scale and hinder a market-ready product.
After the lab experiments, our team took the AIRCOAT foil out to test in real-world conditions on a research vessel in Malta.

Today, the AIRCOAT team met for its Final Consortium Meeting in Hamburg (Germany) to prepare the final public results and to celebrate the past 4-years of the H2020 project.

Each year, the #velocity efficiency of the #ships is reduced by 10% because of #biofouling created on the hull. AIRCOAT foil is aiming to avoid the creation of biofouling in addition to its drag reduction effect.
