Calling out BA (IAG) for their awful treatment of staff. 1000’s redundant without statutory redundancy pay despite £2.6bn profit in 2019. Read pinned thread👇🏼
THREAD (Please Read): British Airways are being destroyed from the inside out. Their parent company International Airlines Group (IAG) are purposely sinking BA in order to usher in their new low-cost, low-quality ‘LEVEL’ airline into premium slots at Heathrow and Gatwick.
Looking forward to opening the Aviation Debate in Parliament on Thursday 10th September. Chance for MPs to support aviation workers and businesses and hear Government response. #aviation#BusinessQuestion
The behaviour of British Airways towards their staff has been utterly appalling and my thoughts go out to the many loyal workers who have been affected by BA’s decisions.
I would urge BA and the Union to seek agreement or arbitration even at this late stage.
So after 35 years @British_Airways I’m leaving on VR (with a gun to my head) and the company back date my 9 days leave so they don’t have to pay me for it. But I’m furloughed. Acas said it’s unlawful. What do you say @BorisJohnson@RishiSunak@HuwMerriman@SamTarry
This is why I fly @british_airways - after great service flying home from Nice to avoid quarantine, the delightful cabin crew gave me this card to celebrate 20yrs in the Exec Club. Nice touch. BA’s staff are fantastic - their management need to stop treating them like dirt.
Took my British Airways uniform back today. Handed it all in - in a plastic bag. Handed in my keys and my Cabin Crew ID Picked up my new Former Employees ID. Haven’t stopped crying since @BaBetrayal @BorisJohnson#NationalDisgrace
#BAbetrayal I won’t fly with @British_Airways again purely because of the way they have treated their staff since lockdown - it is a disgrace. Messing with people’s mental health is DESPICABLE and should not be allowed. Shame on you BA, shame on you 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

@British_Airways After 26 years of in-flight assessments, performance dashboard info, 'annual reviews', complimentary letters and an exemplary attendance record ....you want ME to tell YOU what I can bring to the role? Seriously?? You have my file ... with all you need to know!
The ‘difficult circumstances’ are easing way faster than most anticipated.
The cuts to T’s & C’s should, and must be temporary. If BA returns to profitability, employee terms and standards must naturally follow. @BALPApilots@British_Airways#BoycottBA#boycottbritishairways
Aviation hard hit by Covid but noticed this morning a small token of progress - leaving Heathrow T5 in early May just 15 flights in a whole day. Today more than eight times that
