#COVIDー19 has proven:
Accountability is not the driving force behind great teaching.
We’ve removed state tests, teacher evaluations, and even grades in some cases. What happened? Teachers are working harder than ever!

I know it seems crazy... but I"m going to actually recommend you install Microsoft Edge browser. It is CHROMium so it imports all your Chrome extensions. But it has some nifty features like Immersive Reader that makes it a good install.

We’ve been at this for a while.
Reminder: Be patient with kids during #remotelearning.
Working from home can be a challenge for adults to manage. Expecting kids to be great at it after a few weeks is completely unrealistic.

When I first started teaching, projects were intimidating. They were so self-directed and had such a long duration that I avoided them. Distance learning is a great time to try multi-week projects. They are far more engaging and perfect for asynchronous distance learning.
Distance learning isn’t going to work for everyone. That doesn’t mean we should stop problem solving. The alternative would be to just give up. The key is to create flexible learning models that allow educators to personalize to the unique needs of their students.
Hey all you Distance Teaching Pros!
Want to remind you of a little thing called EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING.
Support Ss with underdeveloped EF by chunking & numbering your directions & embedding all resources into those directions for 1 stop student shopping.

My goal all week has been to take care of my teachers & help them to keep everything in perspective - family & health first! Making sure that they take the pressure off themselves & ensure that they only focus on the things they can control! Keeping it simple! Love our staff!
I’m reading Whole Brain Child. I have a concern about the mental health of our kids as they face the current uncertainty and how this is going to affect them next year when they come back to school. Understanding and supporting kids’ needs 👍🏻 #KidsDeserveIt
