Grade 6 Phase 1 French students enjoyed sharing their thoughts about the fun they had during their first Pod Challenge day. Bravo for using different adjectives en français!

The CCA JAWS of AISL started off with a good planning session led by the Seniors in this CCA. They emphasized the mission, goal & purpose, formed sub committees & started to plan their marketing & fundraising initiatives, as well as how best to communicate within the community.

We had a successful Community Back-to-School Picnic. Vendors were selling food & other items. Tables were set up where families or small groups could enjoy each others company. Parents met their children's teachers informally in the park area. A great afternoon for all!

At the Farewell Primary Assembly, awards were handed out for the Math Olympiad, birthdays for the month of June were recognised & leaving students & teachers were bade farewell. This all culminated in a grand finale where the teachers and our mascot performed some groovy dances.

We said goodbye to our seniors, Class of 2024, in a beautiful graduation ceremony. The student speaker, Ermias, gave an outstanding address followed by the chosen faculty speaker, Mr. Mrak, who also delivered a memorable speech for his students.

Grade 4 was buzzing with excitement for the grand opening of their market stalls! For their final unit of inquiry, students explored how people combine their passions with business knowledge to become successful entrepreneurs.

Yesterday, G3-G5 had a fun, eventful Sports Day, where parents, teachers and fellow students cheered participants on as they displayed their athleticism, sportsmanship, and great team spirit! Goooooo Leopards !

This morning at the ELC-G2 Sports Day, parents and teachers cheered the children on as they showed off all the skills, team work and good sportsmanship they have learned throughout this year. Go Leopards !!

The Grade 6's performed their original plays about middle school life to a captivated audience of Grade 4's and 5's this past week. Wonderful courage and creativity were on display!

Last Thursday the AISL Band students performed a wide range of music at the end of year Band Concert. Each ensemble performed confidently and displayed significant growth. Thank you to the AISL community and the very enthusiastic audience for supporting our musicians.

This morning was the G12 Awards, followed by a lovely AISL tradition of seniors walking through the school grounds being cheered on by the entire school. Congratulations Seniors!! wishing you all the best in the next stage of your lives.

Today we celebrated WorldFest at AISL : a period of cultural celebration where students, staff, and faculty of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds can express, share, and celebrate in their cultural and ethnic heritage.

The G6 I & S classes have been studying Indigenous Peoples & minority groups. In groups of 3 or 4 they researched & then created a diorama, 3D museum poster; hanging mobile, or any visual to illustrate their learning.

AISL welcomes ISSEA STEAM teams from AISJ, AISM, HIS, ICS, ISK, IST, ISU with a lovely opening ceremony this morning.

Natasha DeValia visited and talked about her poetry book/work “Unseen Veins” during the G10s unit on the intersection of different texts and “identity” and all that signifies.

AISL hosted the 8th ZAMMUN conference, with over 230 students debating issues on “Promoting Cyber Security”. Thank you to H.E Istem Circirogulu, Ambassador of the Rep. of Turkiyë, S's & parent volunteers, AISL MUN S's comm, Rustic Berry & Parmalat, for making this a huge success.

Every second Friday, primary students have PALS (Primary Assembly for Learning and Sharing) where they celebrate each other, share and learn from, and with each other.
