Just because it's the #DayAfterChristmas doesn't mean there's no more presents. This week, a bonus holiday episode, the classic British special, The Snowman! #animation#podcast#podernfamily

@BumpingUCast Anyway, pet peeves, innit? Don't bring golf to a cheese-cast, at least until we've had some cheese. (Any good cheese podcasts out there?)
@BumpingUCast Like I'm here to hear your take on a movie or whatever, I don't need you front loading things with meandering conversation about your broken printer, and this friend who gets drunk a lot, unless you can weave it into the film discussion.
@BumpingUCast Tangents are not inherently good or bad... like any tool, it's how it is used. I don't want to shame this p'cast particularly but 20+ minutes of nontent isn't serving a listener who has come for a particular topic.
#podcast pet peeve follow-up again! Manage expectations! Twenty-three minutes before they really start getting into what I clicked on the episode title for. No mention of "we discuss XYZ then get into ABC" in the episode description either. #podernfamily
#podcast pet peeve follow-up: news gets old! I don't mean to live-tweet a podcast, but I found one that's hitting all my buttons. Unless you're specifically meaning to do a news discussion show, limit the discussion of current events to what's immediately relevant! #podernfamily
#podcast pet peeve follow-up: get on with it! after finally naming the subject of the episode, we get five more minutes of sidebars before proper coverage begins. #podernfamily
#podcast pet peeves: What are you talking about? I just clocked one podcast with over twelve minutes of off-topic tangents before they even MENTIONED what the subject of the episode was. #podernfamily
