Over the past fourteen and a half years, Bengal has travelled a long and determined path shaped by the trust of our people and the conviction that development must reach every household, every neighbourhood, every region, and every corner of our state. Today, as we launch Unnayoner Panchali, we are presenting the collective journey of a people who chose progress over prejudice, humanity over hostility, and unity over divisiveness.

This report card reflects a model of development rooted in social security, women empowerment, economic growth, and transparent delivery of public services. From expanding access to health and education, to strengthening rural livelihoods, to creating new opportunities for the youth, each initiative represents a clear, consistent intent that Bengal’s progress must be broad-based, equitable and sustainable.

Our State Government has always believed that public welfare cannot be compromised by political expediency. Despite the Centre withholding Bengal’s dues out of sheer vindictiveness, we have ensured that people’s rights and entitlements are protected. Whether through Lakshmir Bhandar, Kanyashree, Swasthya Sathi, Khadyasathi, Krishak Bandhu, Duare Sarkar, Karmashree, Banglar Bari, or the countless other schemes, our priority has remained to safeguard the future of our people and strengthen the foundation of this state.

Rooted in Bengal’s soil, language, and cultural consciousness, the Panchali form has always carried our shared memory and heritage. In this modern Panchali, every verse echoes the transformative journey of our Maa, Mati, Manush. I convey my heartfelt gratitude to Smt. Iman Chakraborty for her soulful rendition. As we look ahead, we do so with confidence and clarity. We have laid a strong foundation. We have shown what people-centric governance can achieve.

To the people of Bengal, I express my deepest gratitude. Your blessings and affection have been our greatest strength and the driving force behind every step of progress. Together, we will continue to write new chapters of growth, equality and hope that reverberate for decades to come.

What we are witnessing is deeply concerning. There are growing indications of a coordinated attempt to interfere with the democratic rights of the people of Bengal - with the BJP at the centre of it and the ECI seemingly looking the other way.

People deserve to know what is happening to their votes. This isn’t a small issue- It goes to the very heart of free and fair elections.

We are receiving credible reports from several districts that large numbers of Form 6 applications (New Voters) are being submitted in a questionable manner. These are not routine additions. There are serious concerns that many of these entries may be linked to individuals who have no real connection to Bengal—people who don’t live here, don’t work here and have no stake in the state.

The video only adds to these concerns. It appears to show thousands of such forms being processed and stacked, raising valid questions about the scale and intent behind this exercise.

We have seen similar concerns being raised in other states during elections. Bengal cannot be allowed to go down that path.

Take a moment to watch this. Ask questions. Because this is not just about politics- it’s about protecting the integrity of our vote. This is the kind of “PARIBORTON” the BJP seeks to impose on Bengal.

The Election Commission must answer.

My commitments span every pillar of governance, strengthening support for women, youth, farmers, landless agricultural labourers, and the elderly; advancing education and healthcare; ensuring housing and piped drinking water for every household; strengthening administration; and transforming Bengal into the Gateway of trade for Eastern India.

Through these pledges, I reiterate my resolve to sustain the momentum of progress with renewed vigour in the fourth term of my Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar, and to further strengthen Bengal’s position as one of the leading states of the nation.
