I am not opposed to your being mayor due to your religion and I have never suggested that. Nor have I ever said that you are not an American or should be silenced. These are all false narratives that you are trying to create.

To the contrary, I have been doing my best to amplify and repost your own speeches, words, and posts, in particular, those you made prior to your attempting to become our mayor.

I believe in the maxim to trust what the man said and did before he seeks office. Not his dismissal of things he said and did in the years prior that would make him unelectable now.

I am opposed to you being mayor because your policies will be extremely damaging to NYC and all of its residents, in particular the most vulnerable New Yorkers.

Your anti-NYPD defund-the-police historical advocacy will lead to an increase in crime, particularly in the poorest neighborhoods in the City. The NYPD’s confidence that the mayor has their back is critical for successful policing of crime. Recent progress on crime will be lost and greatly reversed if you become mayor. To state the obvious, being and feeling safe are critical to our city’s safety, health and vibrancy.

NYC’s reputation as a place to do business is critical for companies maintaining and growing their presence here and for job growth in NYC. It is remarkable that you don’t understand that socialism is a failed economic model that has destroyed every country and city that has gone down its path.

A mayor committed to socialism will be the death-knell for NYC’s economy. Construction will come to a halt. Businesses will relocate or move their expansions to other cities. Our largest tax payers will leave, decimating the tax base.

You say you don’t want billionaires and other wealthy NYC residents. You will get what you ask for, and the city will suffer the deficits that come from their exodus.

And yes, your unwillingness to condemn calls for a global intifada speaks volumes about you how will manage and support the diverse ethnic groups that make up our great multicultural city.

It could not be more telling that your post attempts to suggest that I am opposed to you because of your religion when I have said nothing about your religion or ethnic background. Meanwhile you fail to condemn calls for the murder of Jews around the world.

How would you feel if the future mayor of NYC failed to condemn calls for the murder of your people?

What if he failed to condemn calls for the murder of the black community, Catholics or Hindus?

Is that the mayor you would want or that NYC deserves?

Facts:
In April, Israel put forth a hostage deal.
In May, Israel agreed to a US proposed hostage deal.
In August, Israel agreed to another US proposal.
In every case Hamas refused.

My wife, @NeriOxman, was just contacted by Business Insider claiming that they have identified other plagiarism in her work including 15 examples in her dissertation where she did not cite Wikipedia as a source.

Business Insider told us that they are publishing their story this evening. As a result, we don't have time to research their claims prior to publication.

It is unfortunate that my actions to address problems in higher education have led to these attacks on my family.

This experience has inspired me to save all news organizations from the trouble of doing plagiarism reviews.

We will begin with a review of the work of all current @MIT faculty members, President Kornbluth, other officers of the Corporation, and its board members for plagiarism.

New whistleblower complaint alleging 50 instances of plagiarism by @Harvard President Gay.

The whistleblower raises serious issues about how the initial investigation into Gay’s work was conducted.

The whistleblower levels credible accusations against the @Harvard governing board in its apparent attempt to quash the initial inquiry into her work and its summarial dismissal of the allegations, relying on a still undisclosed three-person panel of ‘experts’ who assessed Gay’s work outside of the normal process for such investigations.

The coverup is often worse than the crime.

I have heard from a source that is reliable but a step or two removed from the situation that the @Harvard Corporation has asked President Gay to resign and she has refused.

Gay has apparently said that if she is fired, she will sue. Gay has retained her own counsel.

I can’t 100% confirm the above is true, but if it is, I am sure the Board is concerned about what may emerge in legal discovery in the event of litigation.

At this point, however, what choice does the Board have?

If the Board makes an inappropriate deal on severance or gives Gay a guaranteed position at Harvard, it will look like a payoff to keep her quiet. I can’t see how she stays at Harvard in any capacity.

President Gay’s performance and her academic record issues provide plenty of cause for termination without compensation.

But at every step so far, the Board has made the wrong call and dug a deeper hole for themselves and Harvard.

As we all know, the best time to start making good decisions is now.

The sooner Gay is gone, the sooner repairing the damage can begin.

This massive tunnel system branches out and spans well over four kilometers (2.5 miles). Its entrance is located only 400 meters (1,310 feet) from the Erez Crossing—used by Gazans on a daily basis to enter Israel for work and medical treatment in Israeli hospitals.

This tunnel system was a project led by Mohammad Sinwar, the brother of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, and the commander of Hamas’ Khan Yunis Battalion.

Rabbi Hirschy of @HarvardChabad sent a personal email to @Harvard President Gay on Nov. 28th inviting her to attend the Hamas atrocities documentary and to meet the Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations.

President Gay did not respond, but her chief of staff did:

“Dear Hirschy,

Thank you for reaching out. As you may have seen, Claudine has been asked to testify in front of congress next week, so she will be out of town.

Katie”

I note that the President’s congressional testimony is the day after the December 4th showing of the film, i.e.,Tuesday, December 5th at 10:15am.

I reached out to Pres. Gay an hour or so after her chief of staff’s email, and strongly encouraged her to see the film because, among other reasons, I believe it would be very helpful to her and to Harvard to tell the Congress that she had seen it with her own eyes.

What better way for her to show the seriousness with which she is taking the issues around October 7th and antisemitism?

To make the logistics easier, I offered to fly her and her staff immediately after the viewing to D.C, with dinner on the plane so we could meet and talk. I wanted, among other things, to help prepare her with the likely questions she would receive.

She turned me down.

She was succinct in her email:

“Thank you for the offer. While I appreciate the invitation, I will be out of town at that time.”

I can’t imagine anything more important for the Harvard President to do now than to bear witness to the atrocities before testifying about the Hamas protests and antisemitism on campus.

It may be true that she is ‘out of town’ as I am sure she is flying to DC that day, but it sure sends a bad message to the students, the faculty, and the alumni community about the seriousness with which she is taking the issue of antisemitism on campus.

And it is an insult to the Israeli Ambassador who is flying to Boston just to present the documentary at Harvard.

President Gay’s failed leadership in managing the impact of October 7th on campus in large part explains why antisemitism has exploded at Harvard. And she is also setting a bad example for other universities and institutions.

We are sadly witnessing a grave failure of leadership at Harvard, one of the most important American institutions, at a critical time in its history.

You could say that President Gay has only been on the job since July 1st, but then you might compare how deftly @dartmouth president Sian Beilock has handled the Israel-Palestinian issues on her campus. And she started two weeks before President Gay on June 12, 2023.

One of the biggest and lesser known stories of Nov 29 is that the lands allocated to a Jewish state (two color map) were essentially those the Zionists reclaimed from malaria through land purchase, science and education (blue map).

In the shadow of the Oct 7 massacre we mark once more the Nov 29 moment when the Jews said yes to the UNGA plan of partition (having prioritized having a state, even if tiny and mostly desert and lands reclaimed from malaria and no Zion and no Judea) and the Arabs said no and proceeded to wage a brutal war to the present day (having prioritized - still - the goal of the Jews not having a state at all and of any size).
