Today marks a defining milestone in India-UK ties. 🇮🇳🤝🇬🇧

Under the dynamic leadership of Hon'ble PM @NarendraModi ji, the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Agreement on Social Security, have come into force, delivering zero-duty market access for nearly 99% of India's exports, covering almost 100% of trade value.

The #IndiaUKFTA creates unprecedented opportunities for our textiles, leather, gems & jewellery, engineering goods, marine products, chemicals, processed foods, MSMEs, farmers and manufacturers. It also opens new frontiers for our IT, professional, financial, education and business services sectors, while expanding mobility for Indian talent.

The Agreement on Social Security further strengthens this partnership by exempting Indian professionals on temporary assignments from double social security contributions for up to 5 years, enhancing the global competitiveness of our workforce.

I thank my friend and counterpart @PeterKyle, and both negotiating teams, for their commitment in bringing this transformational agreement to fruition. Together, we remain committed to building a resilient, innovation-driven partnership that will drive growth, investment and shared prosperity for generations to come.

One of the most special moments during the inauguration of the CG Semi Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Sanand was the opportunity to interact with the youth who are working there. A large number of the workforce includes women. They hail from remote parts of India, many of them are from tribal backgrounds. But their remarkable spirit ensured that they learnt about semiconductors. They went for training and here they are, adding strength to India's semiconductor journey.

➡️Indian Naval Sail Training Ship INS Sudarshini sailed into New York Port to represent India at the United States International Naval Review 250 and Sail4th 250 celebrations.

➡️During the spectacular Parade of Sail along the Hudson River, the iconic three-masted barque proudly flew the Indian Tricolour, celebrating India's rich maritime heritage and centuries-old seafaring traditions.

➡️The visit is part of the ship's 10-month transoceanic expedition, Lokayan 2026, which reflects the @indiannavy's commitment to strengthening maritime cooperation, building international goodwill and deepening engagement with partner navies.

Ethanol Blending in India

🔰#Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) Programme has emerged as a key pillar of India's energy transition and biofuel strategy.

🔰It aims to improve energy security, support farmers, and reduce environmental impacts. The programme also promotes greater use of domestically produced renewable fuel.

🔰Under the EBP Programme, ethanol blending has increased from less than 1.5 percent in 2013-14 to 20 percent in 2025-26. India achieved the 20 percent blending target five years ahead of schedule.

🔰Production capacity expanded nearly fivefold from 421 crore litres in 2014 to about 2,000 crore litres in 2026. This expansion has reduced crude oil imports and saved valuable foreign exchange. It has also lowered greenhouse gas emissions and strengthened farmers' incomes through new market opportunities.

#WATCH | India has achieved a significant milestone in aviation navigation with the DGCA successfully conducting the country's first satellite-based landing system (SLS) approach on a jet aircraft. The trial, carried out on an IndiGo Airbus A320 at Udaipur Airport, used GAGAN, the indigenous satellite navigation system jointly developed by ISRO and the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
