As part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, the Department of Women & Child Development will organise “Angan Milan Seva” on 27th September across 16,498 Anganwadi Centres in six districts in the first phase — Kamrup Metro, Hojai, Darrang, Goalpara, Nalbari and Tamulpur.

Today, I addressed a virtual meeting with the department’s officers and functionaries, in the presence of my esteemed colleague, Smt. Nilima Devi, to ensure the successful implementation of the programme.

Today, I chaired a review meeting with senior officials of the Department of Women & Child Development on three key matters:

• Preparations for the WCD Conference to be held in New Delhi on 8–9 October.
• Management and operational aspects of the Integrated Old Age Home & Child Care Institution under construction at Bamunigaon, Boko.
• Designs and guidelines for Anganwadi Centres to be constructed with World Bank funding.

Additional Chief Secretary Shri Mukesh Chandra Sahu, Director Shri Gauri Shankar Sharma, and senior officials of the Department were present.

Visited Bajali district today and reviewed the progress of ongoing Anganwadi Centre construction and various women & child welfare schemes, including Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and PMMVY.

Appreciated the department’s good work and expressed satisfaction with the proper utilisation of allocated funds and the progress of various schemes.

Hon’ble MLA Shri Dharmeswar Roy, DC Smt. Madhumita Bhagaboty and concerned officials were present.

Today, I attended a review meeting at the District Commissioner’s Office in Tamulpur with the district administration and Women & Child Development officials.

Reviewed the progress of Anganwadi Centre construction and various women & child welfare schemes, including ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and PMMVY, and directed officials to ensure timely and effective implementation.

Hon’ble Minister Shri @BiswajitDaimar5 , MLA Shri Victor Das, BTC Executive Members Shri Maheswar Basumatary and Shri Lakhi Das, along with officials, were present.
