@Astros_Coverage His fastball at the top of the zone is also never competitive. It's constantly 4 inches above the zone LOL. No one is going to swing at that
@Astros_Coverage He's trying to paint the outside edge to lefties every time, and it's always 2-3 inches outside. He has to stop trying to go there or figure out how to hit that spot each time. And the way he throws over the top, I don't have much faith he'll be able to paint that frequently
Ernie Clement and Myles Straw have to be some of the worst hitters at working counts and seeing. These dudes swing at every single pitch in their eyes. Have some damn plate discipline #bluejays
Hitters need to be more disciplined at the plate. It's crazy how many times I have seen a hitter not swing at a single pitch in the strike zone. Like, do you have any approach going into the at-bat? I feel like the approach should be instilled from top down.
#padres
The Blue Jays' approach is awful against Tolle. You have more walks than strikeouts, and you guys as a team are swinging at the first pitch almost every at-bat. Work the damn count! Jesus Christ @bluejays#toronto This is absolutely pathetic
@PhilsSurvivor Yeah, those two misses where Wheeler threw the ball right down the bottom third of the strike zone were just laughable. How do you miss that as an umpire? I give a lot of leniency to umpires, but I can easily see that impacting the way someone pitches the rest of the game
@mhc_76@seanygrizzle And then JJ Wetherholt, I thought his single was a forsure groundout when it came off his bat. A hit is a hit, but that reaction time from Bohm was pretty brutal. All that being said, Wheeler didn't look run down today. He was low-key dealing until that Herrera at bat
@mhc_76@seanygrizzle Don't follow Chris closely enough, so can't comment there, but for Wheeler, the guy was dealing today, then kind of fell apart in the 5th. The falling apart, though, consisted of an RBI double from Burlelson that was a foot above the strike zone; surely wasn't a bad pitch
@TheGoodPhight The guy was dealing up until the 5th lol. Burleson's double was like a pitch a foot above the strike zone. I also thought JJ's at-bat in the 5th was the third out; he drilled it in the ground lol. I was impressed. One bad inning
@Chillin_ski@_piccone I thought the same exact thing lol. That ball JJ Weatherholt drilled into the ground in the 5th, I thought, was the third out. A hit is a hit, but the reaction time for Bohm to try and get that was abysmal LOL
Masyn Winn seeing 6 pitches in his first at bat against Wheeler and not swinging once LOL. Guy went up there with absolutely zero intention to get a hit and was just banking on Wheeler throwing more balls than strikes. Come on, you are better than that @MasynWinn
The outside corner when a left-handed batter is up. His fastball at the top of the zone is also an absolute waste of a pitch. It's like two feet above the strike zone every time. #astros#hunterbrown
Hunter Brown has a strike-throwing issue. 4 out of every 5 starts, he's going into the 5th inning with about 75 pitches, which is completely inefficient and puts insane stress on your bullpen. He needs to learn to throw more strikes, and not be so nit picky with trying to paint
