The Democrats offered more of the same, Trump offered change. When people feel that things are going badly staying the course is not attractive. The idea of a change can be more motivating than what the actual change offered is.

NACC hearings need to be public by default.

The best way to achieve this is to vote in more community independents so that they have balance of power in the next Parliament.

The major parties don't want a NACC with teeth. I wonder why?

I was really disappointed in the candidate survey responses for my local council. Every candidate on offer put in only vague, meaningless generalities. Nothing of substance or direction, just claiming that they would ‘listen to the community’.
