@MichelAMcl@jord16666@ACSPARTAN1 I was on the housing list for over 4 years as a single mum, ended up having to move in with my mum because I couldn’t afford the private rent any more and these people get straight into a house. I’ve worked and paid tax since I was 16 so this is sickening.
Six of these ten Highland Councillors voted to allow a taxi driver who raped a passenger to keep his operator’s license — even though senior police officers urged them not to.
Please note that although we’re constantly told it’s women who grease the wheels for rapists, every single councillor who voted in rapist David Brown’s favor is a man. Take a good look at them, Scottish women: these 6 men would put you, alone and unwarned, in a taxi with a man who has already raped at least one passenger.
Brown has been put on the register for life; he raped an 18 year old girl and dumped her outdoors on a sub-zero January night in the Scottish Highlands; but these 6 men - Chris Birt, John Grafton, Ruraidh Stewart, Sean Kennedy, Willy MacKay, and Duncan MacPherson - are more concerned about his finances than they are about the safety of local women.

@AbusedMenUK Disgusting, thankfully it’s only one victim she has, I hope. Men tend to have multiple victims - like this week this story is being hushed up but if true this is hundreds of teenage girls affected that he’s apparently sold the footage of.
@IAmJonDerek The first one was a botched surgery in March that I think she’s suing for - the December clip is it being fixed, it does look way better now
@KieraDiss This is standard for that area now, regularly under the central bridge I have to dodge these people screaming and tossing bottles, been like it since Covid.
@LynneShasta40@flewtoocloseto@ProjectConstitu@RealCandaceO But if this just happened to your friend, would you be standing there recording a video at all? I think that in itself is so strange. I’d be in flight response mode - wide eyed panic, shaking, making sure others are okay, not standing there recording the scene and my own face.
@OVOEnergy We’re currently going through the charade that an engineer will be out within 3 hours, we’ll be told shortly there is no engineers in our area, as happened last week, because we’re on an island with no engineer on it. Your one size fits all approach does not work in rural areas.
@NathanJT @newt7215 That’s what happened to us, and they keep just cutting us off, we’re going round in circles and spending hours having the same conversations - I’m working from home and one call handler expected us to go without electric the entire weekend?! @OVOEnergy
@newt7215 @NathanJT Ovo have again cut us off today because the smart meter they installed doesn’t work and we are unable to top up - we live remotely so no engineers or replacement meters available quickly, and spend hours on the phone to them, we’re going round in circles. Nightmare.
@ramjuggler@yodicholaverdad@daveatherton Well yes Captain obvious! That’s all very well for you to say from the comfort of your armchair, he had a few seconds to process and called it wrong, and suffered horrendous consequences. I’m sure the bald guy got an apology.
