Die Kämpfe zwischen dem myanmarischen Militär, seinen Verbündeten und der Arakan-Armee (AA) dauern an. Das Militär von Myanmar unterdrückt die Rohingya seit fast fünf Jahrzehnten, aber die Arakan-Armee (AA) ist zu einem weiteren Unterdrücker geworden.

Während die AA behauptet, sie kämpfe gegen das myanmarische Militär, hat sie von März bis Mai dieses Jahres in Buthidaung fast oder mehr als 2.000 Rohingya getötet. Als die AA die Häuser der Rohingya niederbrannten, wurden fast 200.000 Menschen obdachlos.

Seit Anfang Juni hat das Militär die Rohingya-Gebiete im Kommunalbezirk namens Maungdaw ins Visier genommen. Bislang wurden mindestens 400 Rohingya getötet und viele verletzt.

Das jüngste Massaker wurde am 5. August in Maungdaw angerichtet, wo die AA mehr als 200 Rohingya durch den Abwurf von Drohnenbomben tötete.

Die internationale Gemeinschaft hat versagt, die Rohingya seit ihre Verfolgung zu schützen, die Mitte der 1970er Jahre begann.

Es ist an der Zeit, das Militär in Myanmar und die Arakan-Armee (AA) zu stoppen, bevor alle Rohingya in ihrer Heimat ausgelöscht werden.

Das Militär in Myanmar wird von den westlichen Regierungen mit Sanktionen belegt, aber gegen die AA wurden keine Maßnahmen ergriffen. Es ist an der Zeit, die Arakan-Armee (AA) zu sanktionieren.
