See it’s not my job to have to defend myself every single time someone wants. If you had bothered to research my posts you would know that every time PM Modi has put out a Tweet exalting Xavier - I have countered with a post exposing him. And this has happened for several years. Now I used to point this out earlier to those who asked but after doing it a dozen times - one tends to get sick and tired of having to justify and just doesn’t care. I am at that stage now. You mean that Francis Xavier - the rabid missionary whose own letters drip with racial contempt and evangelical cruelty?
The man who sneered that Hindus “consider God black because they are black themselves,” as if their skin colour were some moral failure? He described Hindu deities as “smelling detestably …black, horrible, and dirty,” just like the Indians who disgusted him. It is astonishing that someone hailed as a “saint” could speak about an entire civilization with such naked revulsion.

Xavier openly celebrated the kidnapping & forced baptism of Hindu infants - because to him newborn babies and children were easy targets- mere souls to be harvested for his Christian conversion machine. He exulted in how he had brainwashed them to hate their own faith and parents.

“The fruit that is reaped by the baptism of infants, as well as by the instruction of children and others, is quite incredible…. Their hatred for idolatry is marvellous. They get into feuds with the heathen about it, & whenever their own parents practise it, they reproach them and come off to tell me at once.“

His letters also brag about sending agents to seize Hindu children so they could be moulded into pliable Christian soldiers, trained to despise their own culture. He rejoiced when those indoctrinated children grew up to spit on their parents’ traditions, smash their community’s murtis, disrupt pujas, and desecrate temples.

“When all are baptized I order all the temples of their false gods to be destroyed and all the idols to be broken in pieces. I can give you no idea of the joy I feel in seeing this done, witnessing the destruction of the idols by the very people who but lately adored them.”

Imagine a “saint” gloating as children vandalise the sacred heritage of their own people. That was Xavier’s version of divine triumph.

And then there’s his pathological hatred of Brahmins. In nearly every letter he rants about them, calling them “perverse,” “wicked,” “crafty,” “lying,” and “deceitful.” Why? Because they refused to surrender Hindu worship and stood in the way of his conversion crusade. His fury is unmistakable: “If not for the opposition of the Brahmins, we should have them all embracing the religion of Jesus Christ.”
Translation: India did not fall because Brahmins led the way in refusing to be conquered spiritually and nothing enraged him more.

Strip away the engineered myths and Xavier’s own words show the most despicable fanatic consumed by bigotry, racial arrogance, and a missionary zeal that broke all limits of cultural violence. He despised Hindu skin, Hindu gods, Hindu temples, Hindu rituals - and any Hindu with the spine to resist him.

This man was not some gentle apostle of love but the architect of a hate mongering violent campaign against the Indian civilization that weaponized children, vilified an entire people, and celebrated the destruction of their sacred culture.

The pinnacle of his hatred was Xavier’s formal request to the Portuguese Crown to establish the Inquisition in Indian territories. In a 1545 letter to King João III, he warned that without a tribunal “there is no justice among these people,” and insisted that only the Inquisition can “root out” Hindu practices. Within a decade, the Inquisition was instituted in Goa, bringing with it the machinery of ruthless, unspeakable torture, surveillance, sexual violence, forced confessions, and full-blown cultural repression. Xavier was directly responsible for one of the most violent and horrific religious persecutions ever perpetrated.

Xavier was no Saint but a virulently bigoted racist hatemonger & fanatic. The devil incarnate would be kinder.

Christians should stop gaslighting and lying. Francis Xavier is the Butcher of Hindus of Goa. In his own letters he has gloated how he killed Hindus who refused to convert, how Hindu temples and their idols were broken. Goa Inquisition was aimed at forcible conversion of Hindus.

The Hindu kings of Kerala were tolerant towards Xavier. They even gave him money to build his churches. That did not stop Xavier from his hateful mission of destroying Hindu culture and civilization.

How am I eliciting poison, hatred and divisiveness when all I did was quote his own words verbatim from his own letters describing what he thought about Hindus and his mission of proselytization? I directly provided the well -documented Christian source in my post as well,

You can read the letters for yourself in “The Life & Letters of St. Francis Xavier” - by Henry James Coleridge of the Society of Jesus (1872). Read them and show me where I have made up a single word in the quotes I provided.

Otherwise apologize and admit that you just want to censor and silence uncomfortable facts about Xavier’s unbridled hatred against Hindus which were exposed by me.
