The era of post harvest loss as “normal” is ending. And the African sun, once seen only as a source of heat, is now becoming a source of hope.

NB: This post is not to support Tinubu, but to put things in their correct perspectives.
Oloye wrote a solid character study about Tinubu, but he misdiagnoses what governing a place like Nigeria really demands.
He framed Tinubu’s political grit as an emotional flaw, where he argued that extreme survival strips a leader of empathy. I beg to differ on this.
Nigeria’s problem has never been a lack of well-meaning, soft-spoken leaders who feel bad for the poor. We had Buhari. The man whom many described as “Man of the Poor, “Mai Gaskiya”. Unfortunately, elite cabals chewed him up.
Running Nigeria is not running a charity. It is managing a broken, chaotic system where powerful cartels fight every single change. In that kind of jungle, stoicism and political cunning are not crimes. They are basic requirements for survival.
People who back Tinubu do not support him because they love suffering. They back him because they know real reforms take a hardened operator. You need someone heavy enough to absorb massive public anger without folding under pressure.
The political steel it took him to grab power even when then power cabals do not want him is the same grit required to push tough national decisions.
You can criticize the results so far, but confusing hard realism for an inability to lead misses the entire point of statecraft in our terrain.
When I say God, I mean Jesus.
Not the universe. Not energy. Not luck. Not positive vibes. Not manifestation.
I mean Jesus Christ, the Son of God, crucified for our sins, buried, risen on the third day, and reigning forever.
The APC government is not the problem. The opposition who have no pathway to electoral victory is the problem.
Ethnic tensions and tribalism increased in 2015 after former President Buhari won the presidential election. His Fulani tribe, and the North were targeted with all sorts of abuses for 8 years. Fulanis were all called terrorists and the North was called illiterates. I digress - a Fulani militia exists. But they are not a representative of the whole tribe.
In 2022 when it appeared as though Bola Ahmed Tinubu was going to win in 2023, his Yoruba tribe became the target of insults and abuses. Many Yorubas went silent on this app.
In 2023 Bola Ahmed Tinubu won and was sworn in. Then, a lot of Yoruba people started pushing back, saying focus on Tinubu, not his tribe. It was him who begged for this job.
He lost in Lagos and Osun, two Yoruba states but Peter Obi for example, cleared all Igbo states with over 90%. Is Obi a match for Tinubu? My answer is NO. But others disagree. How come Yoruba folks who voted against Tinubu in Osun and Lagos are called bigots but majority of the Igbos who voted for Obi are not bigots?
A lot of Yorubas have not been as silent as the Fulani and Northerners. They have returned abuse for abuse, provocation for provocation, gaslighting for gaslighting, and propaganda for propaganda, in defence of the Yoruba tribe, culture, political, traditional and religious icons, not Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The APC is a national party. It has supporters from the North, the South, the East and the West. The President was voted for in Kano, Benue and Enugu.
It is those who have no pathway to political victory that introduced tribalism and continue to fan the flames of hatred so they can get sympathy votes from their ethnic group.
Nigeria rose four places to eighth in the 2026 Bloomberg Economics Investment Risk-O-Meter, overtaking Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya and Namibia as reforms improved its performance across three of the five metrics assessed.
I want to really affirm our gratitude to President Tinubu, especially in the area of security. He has just established two battalions, one in Alkaleri and another one in Tafawa Balewa.
The people of Bauchi are very proud of him. When we were almost overrun by bandits, nobody was coming to our aid. I went to him, and he responded in spite of my being in the opposition. He sent a high-powered military contingent under the National Security Adviser, the military services, and all security organisations. They really removed all the over 100,000 people who were trying to destroy our peace, and today, all those who were overrun have returned to their places, and they have found this farming season and we will never forget this. Tell him we will never forget this goodwill he has done to us.

If anyone ask, why do you want to vote APC for the next Governorship election in Lagos, just tell them CONTINUITY……
As of today, Lagos is building one of the biggest Dairy Farm and Cattle Feedlot in Nigeria and Africa.
So what are the benefits to Lagos economy:
The economic impact of the Lagos Dairy Farm and Cattle Feedlot project centers on bridging a massive red meat and dairy supply deficit, stabilizing food prices, and creating local agribusiness jobs in Lagos

Over the past few days, servicemen and women of the Armed Forces have shared what the recent pay increase means for them and their families. I am glad it is making a difference.
This week, the Nigerian Army @HQNigerianArmy operationalised new formations in Zamfara, Kebbi, Oyo and Osun. Our troops are now closer to vulnerable communities in these areas, strengthening our ability to respond swiftly and decisively when our people are threatened.
We are also fast-tracking the construction of new barracks and depots in Abuja, Ekiti, Ebonyi and Kogi, with Osun already completed. As we demand more from our men and women in uniform, we must do more to support them and their families.
Every deployment is a sacrifice made by a family too.
As our Armed Forces stand watch over Nigeria, my duty as Commander-in-Chief is to ensure they have the resources and support to do their job, and that Nigeria stands firmly behind the families waiting for them at home.
