Convenience won.
That's why most people don't spend stable digital dollars every day.
Not because they don't want to.
Because everyday life shouldn't require extra steps.
We think protecting your purchasing power and using your money should feel like the same experience.

Yesterday I spoke with a few potential users in church.
One lesson stood out:
The technology isn't the product.
The experience is.
If holding stable digital dollars still feels complicated, we've missed the point.

The challenge is making stable digital dollars feel as familiar as a bank account.
That's the bar I'm building toward.

Fintech isn't just about moving money.
It's about earning trust.
Another small step in building CurrenOne.
Security, identity, and account management are coming together one screen at a time.
There are a few spammers on X that have been pivoting their strategy for the last 6 months.
One of the them (“This guy is a great trader ⬇️”) has pivoted a total of 40 times after each method has been blocked.
Some of the techniques are so creative and fast that it feels like they’re sitting right next to us.
At this point, we might as well hire them because they are just as familiar with the X codebase as us.
A small milestone.
Seeing an idea become something you can actually tap on feels different.
Still building.
Still validating.
One step closer to making stable digital dollars feel like everyday banking.
News like this reminds me why we're building @currenonehq .
Not because currencies move.
But because preserving value shouldn't come at the cost of everyday convenience.
I’m always curious when Nepa takes the light and then brings it back almost immediately, like some secs after. What was the plan??? What did they do ? Why???
@okoyedonaldson I think we have a lot of fintechs solving payments.
What we don't have enough of are products helping people protect the value of their money while still spending it easily.
That's the problem we're exploring at @currenonehq
One thing is clear to me now.
The biggest challenge isn't building CurrenOne.
It's earning people's trust.
Trusting us to hold their money in stable digital dollars while still spending seamlessly in naira.
That's what we'll work to earn every single day.
When i was in validation phase of @currenonehq,i talked to people that we did trade together way back from paxful, WhatsApp group, talk to friends, church members even Saturday set players.I explained to them what i am building and i saw there is market but they all mention trust
Everyone is laughing at this but what if it’s time for us, especially new builders and marketers, to agree with me that:
Validation Strategy >>> Go-To-Market Strategy
Walk with me👇🏾
1. EXPECTATIONS
“GTM” at its core assumes the “market” exists and the product just needs to gain awareness so it can get adopted. “Results” in the form of users and revenue are automatically expected and great pressure is on the budget [and the GTM Strategist in charge] to fulfill that expectation. This takes away the team’s focus from the facts which are:
i. Nothing is guaranteed, all initial marketing are experiments
ii. New products especially have to fight many forces at once [lack of users’ trust, presence of equally capable competition, etc]
iii. Worst case scenario, you get all the buzz and attention but your downloads are abysmal because nobody really needs your product or wants to switch over to you.
So except success [traction] is absolutely guaranteed, why is there so much focus on spending huge on GTM and/or making a loud entry into the market?
2. INSIGHTS
As already explained, GTM strategies take the attention off “experimentation” as it were and focuses it on “traction”, and that is a net negative. You are better off launching a new product to gather as much insights as possible on:
i. What marketing tactic in the “validation strategy” acquired the most users
ii. What channel acquired said users at the lowest average CAC, which can then be mapped to the activation event to see what channel has the best “cost per active user”
iii. What exactly the new and active users are doing with the product, because it does so happen that users just find ways to use products in ways the developers never imagined — which can be a massive pivot or feature update insight.
3. ITERATION and GROWTH
Running a validation strategy gives you the opportunity to come back to the drawing board to iterate anything necessary [e.g. positioning, messaging, app features, marketing tactics/channels, e.t.c.] having saved good money that would otherwise have been wasted on some GTM execution that flopped because you had high hopes for the product.
Only after all said is done and quality insights are gathered and used, can you confidently build a growth strategy i.e. your product or competitive strategy/roadmap and your marketing strategy.
[Oh you thought only marketing drives growth? Dey play]
My next post will be a detailed list of some tested and trusted validation strategies for before you even write any code, and for when the product is ready for launch. Follow me for that and more like this.
I am absolutely happy to help if you’re building a product and need a senior growth professional to advise along the way, or help with executing relevant pre-launch and post-launch plans.
I have spent the last 7 years working in multiple capacities as a growth marketer, became a senior growth professional 3 years ago, and attained executive level (CMO) position in 2025.
My DM is always open.
Please do me a little favor and engage with this post. I need lots of reposts and comments.
Happy building.

It's discovering when your assumptions are wrong.
Customer conversations have changed how I'm thinking about CurrenOne.
Now it's time to build the MVP.
@waverchocs It is just banking powered by stable dollar.
People want to preserve their money. Also, at the same time be able to spend it anytime, anywhere. That’s what we are building at @currenonehq
Early this year, I applied for NELFUND loan even after my parent had already paid my school fees. When I told my guys about it, they said bad things about taking a loan and all that. Me that took the loan coz I needed to change my faulty iPhone 7 that was giving me issues and I had to get serious with my life since I’ll be graduating soon. The money sha drop o, 270k😮😳 in my ZENITH bank account. I bought an iPhone 11 that day and bought 3 months bluetick on here coz I had little motion that time. I just locked in and started posting consistently since I had a device already. Months later, I made my first MILLION on this same app🥹❤️. Alhamdulilah sha. Take that bold step today🫵

After weeks of talking to potential users, one thing became clear:
People don't just want to hold stable digital dollars.
They want to spend them as easily as money in a bank account.
That's what we're building at CurrenOne.
