Today in Kiambu County, Githunguri Constituency, while standing together with the family, friends and the people of the region during the burial service of the mother of Karungo wa Thang’wa, we also reflected on the state of our nation and the responsibility leaders carry to defend the people and the institutions that belong to them.
Together with my brothers H.E Rigathi Gachagua and Hon. Eugene Wamalwa, we reaffirmed our commitment to continue walking with Kenyans and defending the ideals of justice, accountability and servant leadership.
While this regime under William Ruto has completely lost its moral direction, resorting to the use of state machinery for intimidation, arrests without cause, and the systematic theft of public land and national institutions, we made it clear that Kenyans are watching and will not remain silent.
We strongly condemned what is unfolding at The Nairobi Hospital that is deeply troubling. The arrest of Board Chairman Dr. Job Obwaka and former Chairman Dr. Chris Bichage, under direct orders from President Ruto, is absolutely unacceptable and entirely criminal.
While we are glad that they were freed today on a personal bond, we send a stern warning to investors and all those engaging in these illegal dealings: Not in this Kenya.
Any individual or entity participating in the unlawful acquisition of Kenyan infrastructure and businesses should know that we will pursue those public assets and reclaim them. We will not allow our country to be auctioned.
Also present were leaders of the Wiper Patriotic Front including Thaddeus Nzambia, MP Kilome; Paul Nzengu, MP Mwingi North; Musili Mawathe, MP Embakasi South; and Dan Maanzo, Senator for Makueni County.
We were also joined by Ndegwa Njiru, Advocate and WPF NEC Member, and Muriuki Ndwiga, WPF Deputy National Organising Secretary, among other leaders.
Today we joined family, friends, and leaders in paying our final respects during the burial service of Mama Lucia Wangui Thang’wa, beloved mother to Karungo wa Thang’wa.
Mama Lucia raised a son of courage and conviction, a leader who today stands in the Senate not only to speak for the people of Kiambu, but to champion the voice of the entire nation. That is the powerful legacy she leaves behind. A mother’s greatest testimony is the character and service of her children, and through Senator Karungo, her values will continue to shape our country.
Together with my fellow United Alternative co principals H.E Rigathi Gachagua and Hon. Eugene Wamalwa, alongside many other leaders, we stood with the Thang’wa family and the people of Kiambu during this moment of grief and remembrance.
As the family walks through this difficult season, we draw comfort from 2 Timothy 4:7:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
May Mama Lucia’s soul rest in eternal peace, and may God grant strength and comfort to her family and all who mourn her.
The #WANTAM rallies will go on from Kitengela to Nairobi to Kakamega today, to Embakasi Nairobi tomorrow,to Narok,Bomet and Nyamira on Monday, to Kisii on Tuesday and Wednesday, to Nakuru on Friday and Saturday, to Nyandarua and Nyeri on Sunday inspite of planned disruption and blocking of the same by the police and State sponsored goons!
The enjoyment of the freedoms of assembly, expression, association, worship and movement depend not on the generosity of the State but are Constitutionally guaranteed rights of every Kenyan that We must continue fighting for. As Thomas Jefferson once said, the price of liberty is eternal vigilance.
#StrongerTogether
From Gitima to Kiriaini, the message is CONSISTENT and UNWAVERING: #WANTAM!
The United Alternative Government hears the people's cry. Nothing less will do! 🇰🇪💪🏾

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, these are worth more than six thousand tweets. We sit together, listen, and work as one. #WeAreUnited#KomboaKenya 🇰🇪
We need vocal, vibrant, and accountable youths in the Young Wiper Patriotic Front leadership. We need leaders who bring real value to the party and serve with integrity.
After every boardroom meeting, resolutions must be implemented and addressed , leadership is about action,
Mr. William Ruto, should ANYTHING happen to the Second Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya HE Rigathi Gachagua, Kenya will hold you wholly responsible.
Today, in Ngaaie, Mwingi North, we came together to honour the life of Dorcas Mutindi Matiki, a mother, a guide, and a beacon in her community. As we mourn her passing, we are reminded of the challenges facing our nation.
Education, the foundation of Kenya’s future, has been thrown into chaos by a person determined to destroy Kenya's future. What took decades of careful planning, systems I helped establish as Minister for Education and later as Vice President, including HELB which has helped thousands of students, has been dismantled. Today, more than 500,000 students languish at home because of a ill-thought-out CBC system that has not only failed them, but has left families and communities reeling.
Lastly, I must commend the great work our young leaders are doing. No one should bully Winnie Odinga. She embodies the courage and values we fight for. When young leaders speak their truth, we must consider them an inspiration not a threat. The crude attempt to intimidate and silence them must be called by all Kenyans regardless of political affiliation.
