@Pinktelegirl @newstart_2024 Sauerkraut and other fermented veggies. Where I live you bend brussel sprouts and cover with a tarp right before snow and they'll keep for months. They actually become sweeter in winter. Root cellars and canning also preserve vegetables long term.

@907Honest I'm on the Kenai. Years ago my daughter was born on May 5th and outside the maternity room at the hospital the dandelions were in full bloom. Today I saw the first dandelion bloom of the season. I've never seen it this late.

@EthicalSkeptic Have you considered Tributsch's acid-mud idea that he wrote about in a 2017 paper? The idea is they used acidified mud between the stones and the weight of the stone combined with the acid caused the fine fitment between stones.

@ChuckGrassley There is a mothballed nitrogen fertilizer production plant in Nikiski Alaska that is sitting idle for lack of feedstock. Why don't you work to get the stranded NatGas from the North Slope down to Nikiski in a pipeline?

@WardoftheStates Years ago I worked for the UAF CES and people from L48 constantly called about living off the grid here. I told them to get a job and live in town a couple years. One guy argued with me, his plan was to arrive in November and live off the land on his rural property.
