@skumWgmi I’ve personally seen a heart surgery with 6 months of care billed for over $1 million for my wife’s dad (LVAD). He didn’t pay even a percent of that bill. Your post seems suspicious.
@BizNasty2point0@WayneGretzky Ty is fantastic — he runs a really positive program that’s great for the kids. I’ve been flying my son from Alaska to CDA for going on four years now, and I’d recommend it to any family with a kid in hockey.
@littlegailk Arty has his moments where he flashes real skill, but he also misses plays by half a second. He isn’t the most physical guy, but he does some really interesting and creative things on the ice.
Hopefully he can become more consistent; that’s his biggest weakness right now.
@NebraskaHoPG@lusie7846@NHLRumourReport It’s a tough decision that requires Connor to be open to the offers. It’s just not an easy thing unless there’s a mutual feeling between both parties. I agree with your statement.
Seems like a Jeremy Swayman situation.
It’s in their interest to draft the best player available, but the Hawks aren’t getting across the finish line unless they add real talent through trades or UFAs.
They’ve traded away a few players in the last few years who went on to make big impacts in the playoffs and even win the Stanley Cup, so hoping we’re not turning into a feeder team.
@bhawkmemes98 The Blackhawks have traded away a handful of players in the last few years who went on to make playoff runs and even win the Stanley Cup.
Are we just a feeder team right now?
I think Torts’ fine was a conscious choice made with the team’s best interest at heart. Ultimately, he pulled the Knights together as a group, even with the loss at the end. He’s probably a great coach who just doesn’t play well with others.
The league has rules and contracts in place to protect the entertainment value during intermissions, and he didn’t value that. At the end of the day, the league, teams, and players all win when we bring in new fans. It’s just a case of you can’t fight city hall and win.
Same reason McDavid didn’t win the Cup last year — elite defensive players and systems that can shut down high-end talent. 🏒
You could also say the Knights lost some of that depth toward the end of the series. Carolina’s 5th-12th scorers produced more consistently and had far better balance across the lineup than Vegas.
I am not a Canes fan but I respect their performance.
Hart was a huge reason Vegas reached the Stanley Cup Final, he posted excellent SV% numbers through the first three rounds. Still, it’s tough to dismiss Marner’s performance.
He was directly involved in a massive share of Vegas’ points throughout the playoffs and delivered the fastest natural hat trick in Stanley Cup Final history. Marner drove the Golden Knights’ offense for stretches, especially early in the series, but he went quiet once Carolina switched to Bussi in net.
That’s the thing with elite defensive teams like the Canes, they eventually figure out how to shut down high-end talent. Their regular-season stats showed that impressive line depth all year long. 🏒
I don’t disagree with you on goalies, but hockey is a team sport. It requires real depth and physical defense to close out a series.
@JoukonHalaus@RichardCubbies This is the top 12 stats for the Canes. . .line depth. The Hawks don’t have it. They need trades to get there or wait until the kids develop.
@BernieSanders Everyone around the world is ramping up military spending. I wonder why.
I’m all for aggressively hunting down fraud, waste, and abuse across government.
