Lord Krishna said to Arjun, “You have the right to perform your duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions.”
Most people do not act without expecting results. When you cook rice, you put the rice in water and then place it on fire, because you know that this action will give a result. Results depend on actions. You think, ‘I cooked the rice, I put it on the fire.’ No, rice followed the law. If you, or anyone anywhere, put rice in water and place it on fire, it will be cooked. But you think that you did it. You cannot do anything that is against the law. Acting is within your control, but even then, you can only influence it indirectly, not directly.
The only way to control your actions is to transcend the three gunas – sattva, purity; rajas, passion; and tamas, inertia.

From one cigarette a week to 15 a day, smoking had slowly become a part of every moment of Himanshu Chhabra.
Then came a turning point. Meeting Gurudev and practicing Sudarshan Kriya & Sahaj Samadhi Meditation helped him reconnect with his inner strength. ✨
The high he was chasing outside was nothing compared to the energy, clarity and joy he discovered within.
Q: Gurudev, what is the secret to making sure our happiness doesn't slip away the moment life gets difficult?
@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar - In life there are two situations: One is when u are comfortable and happy. Another situation is when u are upset and unhappy.
So what is needed to maintain this comfort and happiness is a willingness to do service.
When we are happy then we don’t serve. Usually the mind doesn’t go in the direction. When u are happy u just want to enjoy and don’t think about care, share or service at that time, and that is when it is very much needed. When u are happy and you do service then happiness will remain.
What we need to ask for is the willingness to do seva when we are happy, and the ability to let go and turn inward when we are unhappy. We need to ask for this, ’Give me the strength to let go and turn inward when I am unhappy.’
And learning to let go of the world when we are still here, in it, enjoying it, is wisdom.
Once an elderly lady in one satsang asked a question to me, ‘Why did God make this world so miserable?’
I have said to her, ‘Yes, he has made it like that for u. Even when it is so miserable u don’t let go of it and turn towards God. Otherwise you will never turn inward.’
Q: Gurudev, What is the importance of service in one's life?
@Gurudev Sri Sri - If u sit and think only about urself –"What about me? What about my family?” — u become stressed and start feeling low. Remember, we are here only for a few years, and we are here to contribute to this planet. In return, whatever the world gives us back, we enjoy it.
When u do an act of service or kindness, u experience a level of joy that makes their life more meaningful and fulfilling. It brings an immediate feeling of inner rejuvenation, and ur present mental state determines ur success in the future.
The joy in receiving is an infant joy, but the joy in giving is a mature form of joy. Just remember how happy ur grandparents used to be when u would visit them at their homes. Your grandma would prepare all ur favourite dishes. Her joy wasn’t in eating food herself, but in feeding u. We all have to rise to the mature form of joy — the joy we get from giving.

Congratulations to the scientists who have designed a groundbreaking device to filter dust and smoke. An innovative solution to pollution, especially in highly populated urban areas!
Are we too young for Spiritual Path?
@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji give a fantastic answer
What’s the point of having almonds in your hand when you don’t have teeth? 😂
Maybe spirituality isn’t something to postpone.
Maybe the best time to start is when you’re young enough to experience it, and wise enough to value it. 🧘♀️✨
Don’t wait for later
The name “Krishna” signifies absolute attraction. To overcome the illusions of the material world, one must find something far more captivating to focus on. Krishna is that ultimate attraction at every stage of life: a mischievous companion for children, a talented friend for the youth, a valiant hero for the courageous, “Yogeshwar” for seekers, a master strategist for leaders, and the source of ultimate wisdom for elders.
Pujya @Gurudev Ji

If we are able to meet these two requirements - regularity in meditation and leading a good life in society, day-to-day a good life - then nothing would be unattainable by us. #MaharishiMaheshYogi
