Meet Brooke Hartman! Current Treasurer and 2024 candidate:
Brooke is an Alaskan mom and award-winning author of books for children. She also serves as an occasional instructor of writing for Alaska Pacific University and member of the board of directors for AWG.
Meet Laura Lancaster! Current Vice President/Interior Representative/2023 Conference Co-Chair, and 2024 candidate:
Laura writes short stories and plays from a dry cabin in Fairbanks, Alaska. Sheโs traveled to 18 countries to date and writes about her experiences.
Meet Jamey Bradbury! Current Member-At-Large, Contest Coordinator, and 2024 candidate:
Jamey is the author of The Wild Inside, a book about Alaska, murder, dog sledding, hunting, family, good dogs, smart dogs, loyal dogs, love, secrets, and also dogs.
Meet Martha Amore, Current Member-At-Large, Grants Coordinator, and 2024 candidate:
Martha teaches writing at the University of Alaska Anchorage and holds a Master of Fine Arts in fiction and an Interdisciplinary Studies Ph.D. in creative writing.
Meet Laura Carpenter! Current Membership Chair/2023 Conference Co-Chair and 2024 candidate:
Laura is a queer writer and activist. Publications include The New York Times, The Guardian, Anchorage Daily News, small literary magazines, some anthologies, and independent, arty zines.

Krysta is co-founder of the CreativiTea Alaska writers group and a professional coach, Krysta is enthusiastic about creative storytelling and the healing power of memoir. She holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Emerson College

Anna writes theater reviews for the Copper River Record covering an area from Fairbanks to Valdez and has a passion to represent the artistic needs and ideas of rural Alaskans. She has won awards from Moonbeam and Readers' Favorite.

Lindsay Belle Sobolik is a born and raised Alaskan with a degree in English Literature and Communications from Chapman University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.

As director of the Master of Arts Program at Alaska Pacific University, Rosanne has supervised creative projects by students from Manokotak to Juneau. Freelance work includes magazine writing and producing online content.
