Today, the RDF delegation, led by the RDF ACOS, Maj Gen Vincent Nyakarundi, attended the Regional Conference of Chiefs of Defence Forces on Military Operations Other Than War (MOOTW) at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala, Uganda.

The conference brought together African Chiefs of Defence, Intelligence Chiefs, and Force Commanders from UN and AU peacekeeping missions.

It was officially opened by the UPDF-CDF, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the Guest of Honour, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing that sustainable security is closely linked to a strong economy, political cohesion, and strategic cooperation.

Being awarded by @NPA_Rwanda and the @EUinRW is something I worked for. Being recognized by @elonmusk isn’t an everyday thing either.

All of this comes from hard work, consistency, and simply refusing to stop. It’s not about working harder than everyone else; it’s about staying consistent and doing your best, even when nobody is watching.

But this is what I believe: no matter how hard you work, nothing can truly succeed without God’s hand in it. I believe I can do all things through Jesus, who gives me strength.

I’m grateful for the work, grateful for the journey, and above all, grateful to God.
