"I married a woman my father didn't want me to marry. The last time I saw my father was on his birthday, January 2026, and when I tried to greet him, I was turned back by his wife, Shade Okoya, that I cannot go and see my father like that, that they have to inform him before I go and see him"
— Billionaire Rasaq Okoya's first son, Fatai, opens up on what caused his rift with his father
- “I know Vinicius would have dribbled there instead of passing to Arda Guler”
- “Vini would have taken it to the byline and win a corner”
This video wasn’t from 5yrs ago btw, it’s just last month and the same Vini has also assisted Arda Guler this season.
You can praise Yan Diomande’s performance without trying to lie with Vini’s name.
“Permit me a personal moment for my son, Seyi. I've watched what you started with City Boy, and I got some calls within the last few weeks asking me what Seyi is running for. I said he's running after his father
You did it humbly, you did not ask for a title or an office, you went to the young people, your age mates, your group, you listened to them and you organised them, I am proud of all of you”
- Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, GCFR thanking his son Seyi Tinubu @STinubu for his support and for mobilising his young colleagues to support his re-election.

The conversation about why NPFL fans "can’t fill up stadiums" is always flying around on this app, and as someone who have been on the inside working with Sporting Lagos, I think it’s time to add some real context to how this actually works on the ground.
Building a football culture in Nigeria isn't a copy-and-paste job; just because you see a team from North African pull up numbers, you want that immediately for the NPFL when no be juju forgetting that culture building is a grueling, long-term project.
At Sporting Lagos, we are constantly testing what works, and the truth is, we’ve made incredible strides even filling up the stands during tricky midweek fixtures. It’s not a packed house every single game day yet, but the trajectory is clear because we are intentionally laying the groundwork.
Now, if you look at clubs like Kano Pillars and other Northern clubs, their stadiums are always buzzing. They actually have to do very little marketing or engagement to pull those crowds. Why? Because the people there are already deeply, culturally attached to their teams.
Going to the stadium is an ancestral habit passed down through generations (shooting stars). it is woven straight into the fabric of their daily community life.
That is exactly what we are trying to build here in the South: that identical, unbreakable cultural attachment. Because we don't have that century-old legacy yet, our approach is anchored in aggressive community engagement, activations, and our dedicated school projects.
We are deliberately introducing the next generation to the matchday experience, understanding that a "turnt" core fan base isn't bought overnight. it is nurtured piece by piece until local football becomes an undisputed lifestyle.
And we aren't the only ones fighting this battle. There are so many passionate individuals doing incredibly interesting things and actively moving the needle with their respective clubs across the country to change the narrative around Nigerian football.
That is exactly why it’s hard to take armchair critics seriously. If you have never actually bought a ticket, walked through the gates, and watched a local game live, I’m simply not going to entertain you having a say in this conversation. Ejo lefe ro.
You can't fix a house you refuse to step inside of. If you genuinely want to see Nigerian football and the NPFL grow, stop analyzing the attendance from your timeline come out to the stadium, feel the energy, and be part of the culture we are actively building.
Also today is my One year anniversary working with Sporing Lagos ❤️
Yesterday, I joined Her Excellency, First Lady, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu @SenRemiTinubu, CON, ably represented by the Wife of our Lagos Deputy Governor and incoming First Lady, by the Special Grace of God, Mrs Oluremi Hamzat yesterday at Oriental Hotel to Celebrate my dear Big Mummy, a Living Legend, the Waka Queen herself, Queen Salawa Abeni, as she celebrates her 50 years on Stage.
🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Cristiano Ronaldo is currently DOMINATING an official Ballon d'Or fan vote to decide the GREATEST Ballon d'Or winner of all time!
The official Ballon d'Or platform launched a special competition at the beginning of October, allowing football fans to vote for the greatest winning season in the history of the award.
The competition features 10 football legends who have won the Ballon d'Or at least twice:
• Lionel Messi
• Cristiano Ronaldo
• Ronaldo Nazário
• Marco van Basten
• Michel Platini
• Karl-Heinz Rummenigge
• Kevin Keegan
• Franz Beckenbauer
• Johan Cruyff
• Alfredo Di Stéfano
Fans are asked to vote for a SPECIFIC Ballon d'Or-winning season rather than simply choosing their favourite player.
And right now, Cristiano Ronaldo's 2008 Ballon d'Or-winning season is leading the competition with an incredible 62% of the votes!
That was the year Ronaldo won his FIRST Ballon d'Or while playing for Manchester United.
Interestingly, voting is NOT free. Every vote costs €1, and fans are allowed to vote as many times as they want, including multiple times for the same player.
This means the results are based on paid fan votes rather than a traditional expert jury.
Voting officially closes on October 27 at midnight, Paris time.
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently leading the race to be crowned the GREATEST Ballon d'Or winner in history through this special fan competition! 🌟
