@JackRMCaldwell Police officers? There are not “conflict spots” there is widespread disregard for the law. I regularly challenge cyclists on the entire length from Gayfield Square to the Foot of the Walk. If you honestly believe that Pavements are for People, then cyclists have no place on them.

@CllrWhyte @2351onthelist @Del_ivered @jomowat Perhaps the Councillors could get out onto the streets and litter pick to reduce the visible waste? Instead of debating options for other people to do - do something pro-active yourselves (and not just for the photo-op).

@carrona My tenement also used to have cards which circulated around the flats. One on each floor advising that it was your turn to clean your landing, and another which went round all the flats to clean the ground floor.
They have long since gone.

@carrona I regularly sweep the pavement outside the shop, and wash off the disgusting mess left by irresponsible dog-owners on the shop frontage.
Our rubbish is placed in trade waste bins, and we pay to have it removed. If Councillors want to serve their communities, they can pick litter.

I’ve never been a fan of our Councillors, but I might have a modicum of respect should they go to the Cleansing Depot, sign out barrows and head out into the city to pick litter for the day (and not just for the photo op!)

Shoddy Customer Services @DHLParcelUK 20 mins on hold, only to be told they cannot contact local depot to arrange re-delivery of a parcel left in a random wrong location. No follow-up and no supervisor willing to discuss because they are ‘busy’! I am the only call I care about.

Too much to hope that @Hermesparcels might actually provide any customer service or evidence that that have in fact delivered a parcel. Simply saying it has been “left with a neighbour” doesn’t help. WHICH ONE? Evidence?

@NatRecordsScot I have an early 19th century document written on what appears to be vellum, but one section has shrivelled from (presumably) heat damage. Can this be restored?
