Funniest comment I've heard so far by a European visiting the US for the first time to attend the #WorldCup came after he visited a Walmart: "I've never seen a store with a horizon." 🤣
Outrage is often understandable and presently very appropriate. But it changes nothing. Only one thing will finally prompt the actions that lead to justice - a radical, selfless, sacrificial, boldly courageous, joy-filled love! #RealLove
@edstetzer We should respond like we should to every unbiblical belief system. We speak the truth in love. Don't shrink away, and don't be hateful. It's not rocket surgery.
@mhmck Irony alert: Love the inflammatory language.
I likely agree with your take on the appropriateness of his speech, but the attack-dog style of your post is tiresome. No link clicking for me.
Lack of understanding comes in 2 forms.
1) Those who realize they don’t know everything, but are making an attempt to understand others.
2) Those not trying to understand others because they think they already know all they need to know.

Left to themselves, people
almost never arrive at their
beliefs based on evidence.
They almost always arrive
there on the basis of what
they find most appealing.
Sometimes I feel like 10% of my life is doing the right thing the first time, 10 % is doing damage, and 80% is doing damage control and/or repair. It's exhausting! I need a Dr Pepper.
@danielsilliman Great conversation to be having. Avoiding this is in part what led to the departure of so many UMCs from the denomination. Meanwhile, I had a UMC pastor friend tell me recently that we no longer need the Bible at all since we now have the Holy Spirit.
Hey Christian friends! One more time...
Who matters to God?
Everyone! Everyone matters to God.
Who's got the job of letting them know?
You and me. We do. We've got the job.
