Cardi B says it is important for schools to teach more history and educate people on how African Americans made it possible for people of colour to thrive in America:
"I mean, I feel like the reason why Caribbeans like me, like Caribbeans, like my family, and Latinos and Hispanic people, the reason why they could thrive in this country is because black African-Americans, black African-Americans fought for everybody to like be equal. If it wasn't for them, it wouldn't be no Caribbeans thriving here. Like they were the ones that fought for this.
So I'm always going to be thankful and grateful for that. And it's very important that like, you know, this is, it's, it's important for the history and it's important to get flowers because, you know, somebody wants to erase the history of these schools, but you got to keep these histories alive. Let me not get too political.
I might get in trouble. " ( Via CNN)
Cardi B continues to use her platform to advocate for the history of black African Americans to be properly taught in schools.
"They want to diminish slavery as free labour but I wasn't free labour, it inhumane, it was torture, the worst in humankind history".
Cardi B removed Latto's name from her Lyrics on 'ErrTime' during her ESSENCE performance tonight.
It went from "Bad yellow b't'ch look like Latto in this mf" to "Bad yellow b't'ch look bardi in this MF".
