@AugieNash I was there. Tied the game 1-1 in the 6th, but LA scored two in the 9th and won, 3-1. On the morning of that game, we were 1 game out of 1st behind LA. 3 days later LA left town 4 ahead and never looked back. But Stan did his best to make it otherwise.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Eliot Engel. As nice a person in private as he was earnest about the many causes he embraced and profoundly affected in foreign affairs — Israel, Kosovo, Cyprus, opposing Assad,etc. Personally humble and always with a sense of honor to serve. Z”l

@AugieNash I remember when he was in Springfield, and I believe he did well. I was hoping that the Cardinals would bring him up. Still can’t understand why they didn’t, especially in a year of basically undistinguished team results.

Today is the funeral of the great Sabri Sayarı — brilliant scholar and deep political analyst, wise counselor and mentor, and, most of all, a dear friend. I will badly miss his insights, his sense of humor, and his compassion. May his memory be a blessing, ve huzur içinde yatsın.
