What could have been an entertainment/community hub will now be a university building, hardly in keeping with its surroundings. The money would have better spent renovating and upgrading the Hip.

@dudleymbc Shame on you, How can you demolish such an iconic and historic building. It would have made a great entertainment/conference hub. At the very least you could have incorporated the frontage of the Hippodrome into the new development which is hardly iconic.

The very least they could have done would have been to incorporate the frontage of the Hippodrome into the new building, which in my view IS a monstrosity.
