WSC CEO Joe Kramek at the #BEFF: « We need tools, rules and fuels to reach net-zero by 2050. The tools - the technology and ships - are there, the IMO Net-zero Framework is delivering certainty, and now we need investment for renewable fuels. » #UNOC3
« Decarbonisation is not free, we all know that. But we have spent a lot of money on polluting the environment - it is time we spent some on protecting it »
Arsenio Dominguez kicks off #BEFF day 2 with a stark reminder of how our society relies on the maritime industry: « No seafarers, no shipping, no shopping »

🤩 The IMO #MEPC83 have agreed on a global measure that establishes a GHG fuel standard and framework that, if adopted, will require continuous reductions in #GHG fuel intensity beginning in 2028, ongoing reductions over the next two decades. #maritime
