It took me about 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to the voting booth due to an extra-long line at #LasCruces City Hall. I was voter #244 at the ballot machine I used. There were two machines in use, from what I could tell, and the other machine had seen a similar number of voters.
I am at the #LasCruces City Hall voting place. I've been in line about 40 minutes and now can see the door to the room where the voting booths are. People seem orderly.
Thanks to @krwg for the chance to discuss local news, the loss of more journalists' jobs in Southern New Mexico/El Paso, what it means for our communities, and some of the work of @NMLocalNews#nmlocalnews

A Village of Ruidoso spokesperson just told me they are down to one person still unaccounted for following the South Fork and Salt fires and flooding that followed. Just yesterday the list was up to 89 people. More TK. #nmfire@VillageRuidoso@source_nm
Officials report that the South Fork fire was at 37 percent containment and the Salt Fire was 7 percent contained as of Monday. Flooding is still a threat in the area due to widespread rainfall in recent days that has also limited firefighting access.
