61.7% of Albertans voted to remove equalization from the Constitution in 2021. Yet five years later, nothing has changed.
Albertans made their position clear at the ballot box. While the referendum was non-binding, the result sent a strong message about Alberta's dissatisfaction with the federal equalization system.
The question remains: If Albertans have already spoken, why does equalization remain unchanged?
On October 19, Albertans have another opportunity to make their voices heard.
Know your options. Understand what's at stake. Make your vote count.

Some Albertans think our problems with Ottawa are political: elect a friendlier federal government and things will improve.
But the deeper problem is STRUCTURAL. It is built into the rules of Confederation itself.
Alberta owns its oil and gas, but Ottawa controls international exports and interprovincial pipelines. Ottawa decides how much federal tax to collect from Albertans and how that money is spent. Ottawa controls criminal law and appoints the judges of our superior courts.
We have tried to change these arrangements for 45 years. We elected senators Ottawa refused to appoint. We voted 61.7% to remove equalization from the Constitution. We even won a Supreme Court challenge to parts of Ottawa's Impact Assessment Act. Yet the underlying problems remain.
A friendlier Prime Minister may temporarily ease the pressure. But the next government can reverse those decisions because the fundamental distribution of power has not changed.
That is the critical distinction: Political change replaces the people exercising power. Structural change changes who holds the power.
If we want lasting solutions for Alberta, we need to have a serious conversation about the constitutional structure of Confederation, not simply which political party governs in Ottawa. Vote Option 2.
Canada is a socialist money pit largely funded by the wealth generated in Alberta.
Bruce Pardy breaks down the equalization system and the lopsided relationship between Alberta and the welfare state in Ottawa.

Of course Carney won’t touch equalization. Quebec takes more than half the pot—about $13.9 billion this year—while Alberta, the province actually producing the energy and private-sector jobs that fund the system, gets zero.
The formula is deliberately tilted. Quebec keeps its hydro rates far below market so the province’s resource revenues look artificially low on paper. That single quirk funnels billions more in federal transfers to Quebec every year (Fraser Institute estimates). Meanwhile the fixed-growth escalator keeps the total payout rising even when the gap between “have” and “have-not” provinces shrinks. It’s not equalization of need. It’s a permanent subsidy that rewards not maximizing your own fiscal capacity.
Carney’s answer in the clip is pure politics: “We have an agreement in place… predictability is valuable… next update is 2029.” Translation: Quebec seats matter more than Alberta’s contribution or national fairness. He’ll host unity rallies and talk about housing while the same formula continues extracting from productive provinces to prop up ones that have structural incentives to stay dependent.
Every Canadian taxpayer is on the hook for this. My grandchildren will inherit the bill if no one forces a real review before 2029. The status quo is the point.
ALBERTA BULLETIN 🚨
MARK CARNEY TELLS ALBERTANS THAT HE WON’T EVEN DISCUSS EQUALIZATION UNTIL 2029.
Then he threatens a room full of geriatrics telling them that we live in a “DARK AND DIVIDED WORLD” so we shouldn’t even discuss independence - calling it a “dangerous bluff” .
He never once says why Albertans will be better off by keeping an entire level of crooked federal politicians and bureaucrats in place to tax and regulate Albertans to death.
Carney has nothing to sell Albertans other than threats and more of the same.
VOTE QUESTION 10
OPTION 2
Lorne Doerksen just said that the cost of the BC PROVINCIAL Election is 80,000,000.00 (80 Million) Dollars.
Can @ElectionsAB explain why a provincial referendum in a province with 700,000 more people than Alberta and 43% more land mass can hold an actual provincial election for 50,000,000 less than Alberta is holding a non binding referendum?
The management of ELECTIONS ALBERTA needs to be fired.
Dawn Farrell, the $577k–$679k CEO of Mark Carney’s Major Projects Office, just stood in front of B.C. First Nations and admitted their frustration over zero real consultation on the Pacific Link pipeline makes her feel “Canada is never going to work.”
Then she promised to try harder.
This is the failure, named:
Carney’s signature “fast-track nation-building” office—created August 2025, headquartered in Calgary, reporting to Dominic LeBlanc—rushed the first “national interest” designation (Pacific Link oil pipeline, announced by Carney himself with Danielle Smith on Oct 1) with an initial one-month window that became two only after protests. First Nations got 11 working days to review thousands of pages after Ottawa took nearly a month to respond to process concerns.
They weren’t partners. They were afterthoughts. Exactly the pattern that buried Trans Mountain in years of court fights and cost overruns—the same project Farrell previously ran.
Carney’s Building Canada Act was sold as speed and certainty. What Canadians got is the same old Ottawa playbook: announce the office, hire the résumé, pay the Crown salary, hold the meetings, then wonder why nothing moves while Indigenous leaders (and the courts) prepare the next injunction. Farrell’s own words expose it: her staff carry “very, very big scars” from past failures, yet the timeline is still “construction next September.”
Who owns this?
• Mark Carney: created the office, appointed Farrell, designated the project, sets the accelerated clock.
• Dawn Farrell: the CEO who now says the country feels unworkable while defending the process she runs.
• Dominic LeBlanc: the minister responsible for the MPO and the “One Canadian Economy” push.
Citizens of Canada don’t need another binder of 1,200 pages on someone’s coffee table. They need projects that actually get built without another decade of lawsuits, wasted capital, and empty podiums.
Until the consultation is real before the designation—not a post-decision scramble—this is just more process with a payroll. The scars are self-inflicted.
Mark Carney is a globalist with close ties to Century Initiative founders Mark Wiseman and Dominic Barton.
For those who don’t know anything about the Century Initiative, they’re the group that proposes the Canadian population grows to 100 million people by 2100 - mostly through permanent immigration.
What did Danielle Smith expect?

The premier says that loyalty to Canada is a founding principle of the party.
"That is what our founding principles say, that's what I was elected on. That's what our members were elected on. That's what our party stands for."
- Danielle Smith’s personal stenographer, Rick Bell (Oct. 16, 2026)
Premier Smith wants Alberta to have a seat at the table.
So do I.
The question is: what gives Alberta the leverage to get one?
My case is Option 2.
Albertans will decide on October 19.

Poland announces it’s sending the Polish Army to the country’s borders with Germany and Lithuania in order to stop illegals migrants from crossing into Poland.
Imagine if England was this smart? All the poor innocent lives wouldn’t have been lost forever.
⚡🇵🇱 Polish MEP Dominik Tarczyński just blasted the EU’s Great Replacement agenda:
“In Poland, we have zero migrants. We don’t give a shit. We take care of our families. I don’t want my daughter to be raped or be killed.”
In 2010, Polish workers cleaned the houses of British professionals. Today, Poland's GDP per capita sits above $43,000 in purchasing power parity terms, level with Spain and closing fast on France. That reversal took roughly one generation. This was deliberate policy, not luck.
Poland ran a flat tax on business income, kept labor markets comparatively flexible, and spent the 1990s dismantling the Soviet pricing apparatus faster than almost any neighbor. Capital read those signals immediately. Volkswagen, Samsung, and hundreds of smaller manufacturers moved production east. Warsaw became a financial hub, not a branch office.
The EU structural funds helped, obviously, pouring +-160 billion euros into Polish infrastructure between 2004 and 2020. Funds alone don't explain the difference. Ukraine received aid too. Poland built what mattered around the money: enforceable contracts, a functioning court system, and a bureaucracy that didn't simply steal the paperwork.
Respect property, enforce contracts, keep inflation credible, and capital flows toward you. Poland did roughly that for thirty years while Germany and France were busy building regulations that made hiring someone feel like adopting them legally.
The housekeepers became engineers, then managers, then founders. Warsaw startup valuations crossed 50 billion euros in aggregate by 2024. Polish engineers now earn salaries that make relocating to London feel irrational rather than mandatory.
Wealth is produced where producers are left alone to produce it. Poland left them alone just enough.
Another 10 years of this and people from the UK will be cleaning the houses of professionals in Poland.

One of the most insane things I've ever seen.
Holy shit… Trump puts Zelensky on blast, says this entire situation in Ukraine is the fault of Obama, and escalated when Russia annexed Crimea in 2014.
As I’ve been saying the entire time, everything changed in Ukraine in 2014, which is coincidentally when the preemptive pardons of both Hunter Biden and Fauci begin. The same exact time they began offshoring USAID gain of function research to the biolabs in Ukraine. This is when the Obama administration took complete control of Ukraine and turned it into a Deep State proxy and racketeering playground.
Trump confirms Zelensky is standing in the way of peace, and the only way we can achieve a deal is if he is not in the picture.
This has to be the most blunt Trump has ever been about Obama’s corruption in Ukraine. Trump is gradually taking the public down the rabbit hole.
Eventually, we will have to address the crimes committed by the Obama administration in Ukraine. Both Trump and Putin want justice.
💥 This is SIGNIFICANT, and not Trump’s repeating of “51st state” trolling words last night.
👉 Rather, Carney’s plan to meet with the EU in Montreal in two weeks to declare Canada the 28th member of the EU as an “Associate member” ALMOST CERTAINLY will trigger the US Monroe Doctrine, a legitimate cornerstone of US foreign policy designed to STOP European expansionism in the Western hemisphere.
👉 Here is a Grok summary of a cited, reputable British source so “Elbows up” propagandized/manipulated Canadians cannot quibble the source:
https://t.co/oifIu7HO6x
“Britannica provides a compact account of its four basic points: The Monroe Doctrine, enunciated by U.S. Pres. James Monroe in his 1823 annual message to Congress, declared the Western Hemisphere distinct from European affairs. It outlined (1) the United States would not interfere in the internal affairs of or wars between European powers; (2) the United States recognized and would not interfere with existing colonies and dependencies in the Western Hemisphere; (3) the Western Hemisphere was closed to future colonization; and (4) any attempt by a European power to oppress or control any nation in the Western Hemisphere would be viewed as a hostile act against the United States.”
