🚨🚨Paper Alert🚨🚨
We study the identified gaps in the emotive facets of place research through the opportunities that offer technology-based advancements in urban analytics. We also present an illustrative case study in the context of mental health. cc: @geotecUJI@albgonper
A decade ago, this project wouldn't have been possible in this way. But nowadays, with the components and PCB processing services from @seeedstudio, and the boards from @particle, anything is virtually possible. Even with few resources at hand. #IoT#Maker
Your #IoT nodes shut down frequently due to battery life problems? Looking for a strategy to make them last longer? Our recent work might be of help.

@devminibhati @NativeScript is worth checking too. It allows to access to any native API from JS/TS, and it being very actively maintained nowadays https://t.co/HFGPe3ttJV

The Hypnos toolkit can be easily integrated in existing #IoT setups. Not only it allows your nodes to become energy neutral (virtually last forever), but based on our findings, it can boost their duty cycle by more than 2x while making better use of the available energy resources
Our recent research work involved the creation of a @NativeScript plugin, which allows developing #Android apps with complex background execution workflows in no time.
Code tasks in JS/TS to be run while your app is not active. No need to deal with native alarms and services!
Developing an #Android app where doing things in the background is crucial? If the process is becoming a headache, our recent article might be relevant to you.

2/3 Although I mention cross-platform development, sadly we only support #Android for now. But we're glad to see that, thanks to #NativeScript, 95% or more of the code will be reusable by the time we add support for iOS. We'll just have to focus on a few minimal native calls.
The continuation to our work presented in the @ConferenceIpin tutorial: “Battling the Android Scheduling System: How to Reliably Schedule Background Measurements in Android” is now available as a journal article! #IPIN2021
