The Tamil Nadu Information Technology and Digital Services Department’s @TNeGA_Official has signed an MoU with Meta to launch WhatsApp-based citizen services, launching a single number through which people can access 50 essential government services anytime, anywhere.

In its first phase, citizens will be able to lodge grievances, pay electricity and water bills, pay municipal taxes, and even book metro tickets — all within a single chat window. Available in both Tamil and English, this initiative will significantly reduce the need for multiple visits to service centres, bringing essential government services directly to people’s mobile phones.

Guided by the vision of our Hon’ble Chief Minister @mkstalin, we are combining Tamil Nadu’s pioneering e-Governance framework with the simplicity and reach of WhatsApp, ensuring that technology works for everyone, delivering services in the most simple, inclusive, and citizen-friendly way possible.

MTC introduced Singara Chennai NCMC cards today.These cards can be used for travel in MTC buses and also in Chennai Metro. MTC Pos terminals will also accept Singara Chennai cards erstwhile issued by CMRL. Seamless ticketing integration in an effort to promote public transport!

தாம்பரம் ரயில் நிலையத்தில் நாளை (17.11.2024) காலை 07.00 மணி முதல் மாலை 05.00 மணி வரை பராமரிப்பு பணிகள் நடைபெற உள்ளதால், சென்னை கடற்கரை ரயில் நிலையத்திலிருந்து தாம்பரம் செல்லும் இரயில்கள் பல்லாவரம் இரயில் நிலையம் வரை மட்டுமே இயக்கப்படும் என தென்னக ரயில்வே அறிவித்துள்ளது.

எனவே, நாளை அவ்வழித்தடத்தில் பயணம் செய்யும் பயணிகள் நலன் கருதி மாநகர் போக்குவரத்துக் கழகம் சார்பாக, 50 சிறப்பு பேருந்துகள் இயக்கப்பட உள்ளது.
